Cool, thanks for the info guys. Score sounds good so far. Unquestionably Giacchino's voice, but it sounds like an evolution from Doyle's fairly tonal score to the first film towards the more barbaric scores that characterized the original apes films.

It does seem like it will mesh with both Doyle's score and the scores in the past. I also thought it was strange Varese isn't getting as many deals with Sony anymore... I kind of liked the continuity of CD spines on my shelf, but that's a small matter.
That poster is the only reason I'd ever want to see this movie.
That's still one more reason than I could come up with not involving Michael Giacchino (it's been more than 40 years since the last good movie* with "Planet Of The Apes" in the title came out).

But Rise of the Planet of the Apes came out just three years ago! And it's really good at that.
