(I used the "Font By Appearance" tool to choose elements of the typeface, but the resulting link was too long once the result was found. After getting the name, I instead searched using "Fonts By Name" for the shorter link above.)

I think it's closer to the oblique version of the Helvetica ultra compressed. If you look at the tail of the "R" you'll notice a curve at the foot that is absent from the Compacta font.
But I still see some differences with the Helvetica, so it could be something else.
Aha, thanks for the responses. I actually discovered Compacta earlier today, after trawling though a long list of bold italicised fonts. I was not aware of that identifont tool. Compacta ICG and Compacta Italic are the closest I've gotten to it, but I see what you mean about the R Stef. That Helvetica, however, doesn't seem to have an Italicised version.
Top text lifted from orig. cover art. Bottom text PFMellon Bold. Closest I've come across. You'll note, however, that the slash drops above and below the text.
It's very close. Looking at the G it seems like the gap is positioned at a slightly different height, a difference also evident in the H, where in the original the horizontal line cuts across the middle, and in the lower example it cuts across slightly higher than the middle.
Has anyone created some individual covers for the Orville episodes, identifying the episode name and it’s composer?
Someone did it for Seaquest and they were brilliant.
If no one has done it a tone fancy giving it a go?
This was my very amateur attempt at individual episode covers for 'The Orville: Season 2' that I posted back in January. If any of our resident experts were interested at having a go I'd love to see them. I haven't made one for 'Identity - Part II' as I'll use the CD art for that.
