Forty years ago, a group of people moved heaven and earth to make their own James Bond movie, starring Sean Connery (!). The only problem was....they apparently thought James Bond was really stupid.

Rowan Atkinson and spy movies should be kept apart - Johnny English is much worse than The Big Bus by the way).
Back to Never Say Never Again the producers were apparently considering a cameo from Roger Moore saying to Sean Connery "Sean, Never say never again." The lawyers put a stop to that.

Many thanks to composer and synthesist Anthony Marinelli for demonstrating the Synclavier usage (with the original floppy disk!) on Arthur B. Rubinstein’s classic score for Blue Thunder (1983)!

(And thanks to the folks here who brought it to my attention!)

I COULDN'T watch the new version. I find it amusing that Jane Badler is the few people to have done Neighbours and Mission: Impossible (the 1980s Australia-filmed revival but it still counts).

A salute to the brilliant song of the summer, the Eurodance parody hit, ”PLANET OF THE BASS.”

All of the dream, how does it mean!

Huge thanks for pointing me to the Anthony Marinelli You Tube channel. Between the videos on Blue Thunder and Wargames (the former of which was so groundbreaking that it deserved Oscar and Grammy nods, IMO) and la La Land's new issue of Gorky Park, I've got 1983 fever again. What an insanely great year for film music, with the Silver Agers at their peak and up-and-comers blazing new trails.

And just from a history-preservation perspective, how generous of Anthony Marinelli to share his thoughts, stories, and technology for posterity.

AHSOKA looks (and feels) like a cartoon.

So does Hollywood, only without your favourites.

Give me the glossy look of Ahsoka any day of the week compared to the dreary Andor.

Thanks for watching Sky Fighter!

They had a little bit more money to make Ahsoka.

Best,

Yeah kinda surprised with Lukas's comments here. All we've gotten for two decades was dark, dank, over-saturated, colorless, dreary movies. Taking Star Wars universe down the same path was a disastrous move. I absolutely hate the trend. Make movies colorful again! Keep in mind I haven't seen the series itself so I'm sure its full of cartoony CGI which is a completely different topic.
