Bernard Herrmann?

In order to find the truth you will have to figure out whose big birthday it is in a week.

Miklos Rozsa Born April 18, 1907?

If Rózsa it must be from the 40s, or everything else has been released?

Not necessarily from the 40s. If Bruce now indeed has a good working relationship with UMG, then this could be the first US CD release of the Decca LP of A TIME TO LOVE AND A TIME TO DIE. There was only a rare Japanese CD release in the early 90s of this score and then the Canadian "semi-bootleg" from DCM. But till now not an official US CD release.

Unfortunately, I don´t think it is A Time to Love and A Time to Die since Bruce hinted a few post earlier that the coming title is not from the 50s.

Henry Mancini was born on April 16, 1924. It could be the score of Arabesque that we are getting.

Yes, of course you are right. I had overlooked that.
So probably it is not Rozsa anyway, but the hint with "birthday in a week" could rather mean that it will be a score by Patrick Williams who was born on April 23th.

THIS WEEK IN FILM MUSIC HISTORY

The clue was not "birthday this week", but "birthday is in a week". smile
And in my opinion Patrick Williams is quite certainly a Kritzerland favorite and would therefore fit very well.

Apr. 21-23 seems a better target given the hint. Francis Lai was born on April 26th! Let's hope!

Sol Kaplan is also a possibility. It could be something from the Fox catalogue.

Has nothing to do with the birthdate of the composer smile

And take note of the post I specifically replied to.

Kaplan worked at Fox almost only during the 50s. And the 50s have already been ruled out anyway for this upcoming title.

So it will be Herrmann's JANE EYRE?
Charlotte Bronte's 200th birthday will be celebrated next week. smile

I wonder if this could be the score of a biographical film, the subject of which has a major birthday next week---perhaps a political figure, an inventor, artist...... And "big birthday" sounds as if it refers to a big number, like 100 years, 150, 200, 250, etc.

(Edit.....I see Stefan beat me to it. JANE EYRE is very likely.)

April 19, 1935- Dudley Moore.

Bedazzled?

Or someone more historical, like Shakespeare or Hitler?

I agree with a few other guesses, it could be the birthday of a character in the film or an actor in the film. Bruce?
