We couldn't clear Steven Seagal for Fire Down Below either. I was so heart broken after that news I refused to release just the score. His song was just so integral to the whole experience. It gutted me! I almost threw in the towel and called it quits! I'm glad you guys picked it up. wink

MV

Yeah, Steven was so sad about it he ate fifty cans of frosting. Or as he calls the occasion: "on days that end in a 'Y'."

Well I am not going to write Craptanic at all.

How come? Have you decided to try and come up with something that is actually funny instead? And don't have four weeks free to work on it?

sorry, folks,
titanic is such an overrated score without soul and it´s crudely arranged, as i do remember!
no chance for this release.

No need to apologise, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Even when it's a stupid one.

A lot of people are put off by the atmosphere over at JWFan. Well, I'll have you know that it's threads like this that put me off of FSM.

LLL, I look forward to ordering this, along with CE3K and DAD.

But I also have WAY too many CDs already, and for me, keeping two mostly redundant CDs like that is a "big deal". I actually don't care too much about the song anyway but those suites are pretty good. Hell if I could buy them digitally (in lossless, by themselves, before anyone starts linking Amazon or whatever) just to own I would.

You could make your own lossless FLAC versions and then cast your CDs to the four winds. The point is, this new LLL set combined with the old CDs means we'll have everything.

I guess I'm not surprised that even a 4-disc set would not be 100 percent complete. I'm over being stunned that the 3-disc STAR TREK TMP set, so comprehensive as it was, could still get a bonus track in the 50th Anniversary Collection. There's always one more thing if you extend the concept of "complete" far enough.

My Thanksgiving wasn't ruined by the non inclusion of the song; it was the missing "previously unreleased" and "contains previously unreleased material" asterisks that did that.

I don't see the problem. Anyone familiar with the OST and Back To Titanic would know the differences.

If there were asterisks for *previously unreleased and **contains previously unreleased material, almost the entirety of the tracklist would have asterisks.

Based on familiarity of the album alone, I've added those asterisks to the tracklist.

I hope I was accurate:

They're sometimes posted. The Close Encounters post has them.

There is about 90 minutes of previously unreleased score on this edition. It's so far beyond the original album and the music as edited for the film that this is really its own thing, with, as was indicated, little point to crowding up the track list with all the asterisks.

Thank you. I wasn't seriously complaining, but I do enjoy seeing those astericks - Good to know too many were needed^

Sounds like most of that was tracked from earlier cues (especially "Unable to Stay, Unwilling to Leave"). One of the things I'm looking forward to the most with this set is hearing the music as originally intended, before the editors had their way with it. The score as heard in the film is a mess.

The version at the end of the movie does have different instrumentation than the album, though, with a flute carrying the melody rather than the uilleann pipes. Unable to Stay only appears once in the track list with no added marker, so I assume it's the album track, but I hope the flute version is included somewhere.

This is one selection my brother and I made recordings of from the first home video releases of the movie. The other one I've kept is the main title, which it will be amazing to have in good quality at long last (as much as I may always hear the submarine sound effects in my head).

That brings the biggest smile to my face.

I'm struggling a bit with taking it in that this is a TWENTIETH ANNIVERSARY release.

No kidding. Twenty years later and I'm still trying to pay off my student loans.

I remember when I was a kid and the Star Wars Special Editions came out for the first film’s 20th Anniversary, and I thought they were really old movies.

Now the joke’s on me...

its Defiantly a Dream Coming True for me , Titanic is my Favorite Movie Score of all Time .. its been a Part of me since i saw this Movie in 1998

after Years of waiting this to happen and some of us almost lost hope , it actually Happened
YEAH ITS COMING !!! in all its Magical Glory, and im Excited as hell to order this Tmw

Now for the Song thing , well yeah at first i was like WTF? but then i said Really its ok, i mean i have it on many CDs in my collection (OSTs , Single CDs , Remixed Single CDs etc)

but the most thing that i was Hoping and Dreaming of for a really really long time is the (Original Instrumental) of the song frown Especially the Film Version since there's already Instrumental Track of the Radio Edit Version in one of Dion's Albums

but i dont have to explain the Difference between the Radio Edit and OST/Film Version Right ? at the End this Music is Horner Work and for me its the Soul and Heart of the Score .. its a Shame that they didn't include it in this Set

ive been desperately trying to Contact Simon Franglen to Send me that Instrumental if its Possible or sometimes i try to separate Dion's Vocals from the Track using some Audio Softwares and Stuff lol .. (just to show u how im dying to get this)

the Point is that i feel Something Very important is Missing from this Release and the Strange that no one Mentioned it here .. This Release was my only hope to get this Magical Piece of Music and now its not Happening

Anyway ill focus now on the New Material and try to Forget this thing (with a broken heart)
