Found this researching part of my Morricone series:
Franco Nero/ Ennio Morricone 2004 Guardians of the Clouds 2001 The Sleeping Wife 1989 The Betrothed (TV Mini-Series) 1985 The Repenter 1984 Die Försterbuben (TV Movie) 1980 The Blue-Eyed Bandit 1977 Hitch-Hike 1975 The Flower in His Mouth 1974 Mussolini: The Last 4 Days 1971 L'istruttoria è chiusa: dimentichi 1971 The Fifth Cord 1970 Companeros 1970 The Fifth Day of Peace 1968 The Mercenary 1968 A Quiet Place in the Country
...and for good measure you can add THE BIBLE (rejected score) and DJANGO UNCHAINED (one song).
Classe Tous Risques (1960) Love and the Frenchwoman (1960) Un coeur gros comme ça (1961) Cartouche (1962) [Swords of Blood] L'aîné des Ferchaux (1963) [Magnet of Doom] Cent mille dollars au soleil (1964) [Greed In the Sun] That Man from Rio (1964) Les tribulations d'un Chinois en Chine (1965) [Up to His Ears] The Brain (1969) [Le cerveau] Incorrigible (1975) The Vultures (1984) [Les morfalous]
Does anyone maybe know if the song used in the nice shower scene in CERVEAU is available on CD ?? The song is called CENTO GIORNI performed by Caterina Caselli.
The Piccioni/Sordi connection already "won" this thread in terms of the most films together, but I'm personally more interested whenever one of my favourite actors are (probably by coincidence) teamed up with one of my favourite composers. Two great, creative forces lifting a film no matter its quality otherwise.
I could do the same exercise for my other favourite composers too. For Hans Zimmer, for example, it would be:
1. Jack Nicholson - AS GOOD AS IT GETS, THE PLEDGE, SOMETHING'S GOTTA GIVE, HOW DO YOU KNOW 2. Anthony Hopkins - MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 2, HANNIBAL, THE SON 3. Ian Holm - sadly none 4. Gary Oldman - TRUE ROMANCE, THE THIN RED LINE, HANNIBAL, the DARK KNIGHT trilogy, KUNG FU PANDA 2 5. Jeff Goldblum - NINE MONTHS, THE PRINCE OF EGYPT
etc. etc.
I just realized that HANNIBAL is a "meeting point" of many of my favs. Ridley Scott, my second-favourite director of all time, Zimmer, Oldman, Hopkins. I think it's a great (and wildly underrated) film, but I should probably like it even more, given those circumstances.

Piero Piccioni may be my favourite composer already, but my Italian is not good enough to say whether Alberto Sordi is a top actor. I'm not sure I have favourite actors, as I tend to like actors because they appear in films of good directors/composers.
As usual, the women get the short shrift in these threads, so I will add
Rita Hayworth and George Duning
1. Gilda (1946) 2. Pal Joey (1957) 3. Down to Earth (1947) 4. Affair in Trinidad (1952) 5. Miss Sadie Thompson (1953) 6. Salome (1953) 7. Tonight and Every Night (1945)
And because DUNING DID WHAT ROZSA DID YEARS BEFORE ROZSA DID.... I'm putting this link to one of Duning's finest:
Henry Mancini scored 8 films that Julie Andrews appeared in.
Darling Lili 10 Little Miss Marker S.O.B. Victor Victoria Trail of the Pink Panther (she had an uncredited role, according to IMDB) The Man Who Loved Women That's Life! and why not include the TV movie version of Victor Victoria (1995) of the Broadway version, whew.
and
Henry Mancini scored 7 films that Peter Sellers appeared in.
A Shot in the Dark The Pink Panther Return of the Pink Panther Pink Panther Strikes Again Revenge of the Pink Panther The Prisoner of Zenda Trail of the Pink Panther
and Mancini provided a few songs for The Party.
{I just noticed that the Mancini/Sellers team has been mentioned in a post above. And I missed the Carol for Christmas TV special. This seemed to me the most obvious team-up of composer and actor until I looked at Blake Edwards' wife stealing Mancini for a while.}
Mancini wrote 2 songs for "The Party" Nothing to Lose" and the title song. He scored the entire film often using some of his previously written melodies.
For actresses, it's worth noting the Monica Vitti/Michelangelo Antonioni collaboration (ol' Michi is one of my alltime favourite directors), many of which were scored by Giovanni Fusco. L'AVENTURA, L'ECLISSE, DESERTO ROSSO. OK, so just three films with Vitti, but still three classic movies.
