Last time I looked, the intl site indicated 10th June re: availability. Possibly a delay shipping them over the pond, or complications re: our Jubilee Bank Holidays. The discs will come, folks. I'm good waiting. After all who saw this expansion coming at all six months ago?

Or six weeks ago even...!

I must admit, having previously sung the praises of Varese for setting up an international store, I'm very peeved with them over this release.

When I ordered it, literally within minutes of it going online, the website clearly said it was in stock and ready to ship.

For that reason only, to get it really quick, I paid the premium for 24hr Courier delivery.

I was peeved enough that it wasn't ready to ship at all, and wouldn't be for weeks. I would not have paid the premium if I'd known that.

But also, having paid the premium, I'm now peeved that people are saying they got theirs last week and mine hasn't even been dispatched yet.

I'm never picking that option again, and I recommend you don't either.

I have raised a complaint for a refund of the extra I paid for premium delivery.

Cheers

It's Stateside orders getting delivered, not us across the pond, far as I can tell. I'm sure they will ship 'em when they've got 'em.

I got mine yesterday (delivered to Denmark) from Music Box (France).

Was pleased to find this in the mailbox today. Thanks, Varese!

This kind of service is irksome and all too common, it seems, with online retail. Premium shipping that isn't actually given. I'm hoping, Stephen, that they give you some money back for this.

It arrived here in Germany today - and I am absolutely thrilled to hear this marvelous score in all its subtlety.

The original release was targeted for an "easier" listening experience - but this expansion shows once again how intricately Williams composed this score, how precise he used motifs and themes and wove them together to raise every already great scene.

For me, one of Williams´ best and most underrated scores.

My copy from Varese International arrived. It has the same cloudy area as my defective City Hall CD. Anyone else see a problem?

I love this score. My admiration for John Williams is that he writes such great music not only for science fiction and adventure films, but for Presumed Innocent, Sleepers, Seven Years in Tibet and so on.

First of all, I would rip/play the CD... does it have any problems? You can rip it in EAC to see if it's a 100% bit perfect copy. If it is, you should be safe. If playing it doesn't make any problems, you should be fine as well.

It played fine for a day. Then this morning it took longer to find the tracks. I paused it to do some chores and when I came back and pressed play it raced through all the tracks from 6 - 35. These discs are not like wood furniture with everyone slightly different and imperfections. They should be uniform and pristine. I reached out to Varese.
