So does that mean all the recordings will belong to the UK government? If they're owned by Tadlow Music Ltd at the point of dissolution, it looks like they'll become the property of the Crown, yes. Where they already belong to another party, such as Prometheus, clearly not. Not that I’m any expert but there won’t be any selling off or passing on of the assets of Tadlow Music Ltd unless the company has creditors.

What could have happened? How could Tadlow have got into this position?

As far as I can tell, the move to compulsory dissolve the company is because the company has missed its obligatory filing deadlines. Why it has missed those deadlines is something we don't know and can only guess at — but it's the main reason I'm concerned about James' well-being.

Messaged you on social media, Stephen. I saw it, thanks. Unfortunately, I don't think it's just a case of somebody volunteering to help with the packing of orders, but if you or anyone wanted to so volunteer, the person to reach out to would be James himself. The thing is, he seems to be off the grid.

Yes, James Fitzpatrick co-founded Silva Screen, founded Tadlow, produced many successful recordings, organized film music recordings, has posted here in between, has successfully launched a Kickstarter campaign to record KING OF KINGS, etc., etc... it's worrying that now this all seems to dissolve and go down the drain. I have no idea what we could do to help though.

The phone number is listed on the Tadlow website. Maybe someone who knows James will try to contact him by phone?

Even though you can still order from Tadlow Music. (But the orders won't be fulfilled.)

Even though you can still order from Tadlow Music. Ni Nic. I know you know this, but for the benefit of others, that, unfortunately, doesn't mean the orders will be fulfilled. It seems like it's simply a case that the website has never been taken down. This is such a pity.

Sorry to report that Tadlow Music Limited has been dissolved. Technically, it doesn't get dissolved until the 22nd August, but that's just nitpicking. The fact is it's decided and definite. What a shame. The wording of the notice of compulsory dissolvement should be available within ten days. End of an era. And I'm still concerned about James' wellbeing.

I thought within this thread this was clear, but indeed, you are right, better to point it out. (And edited the comment.)

And very sad to see what is currently happening.

I'm sure we're grateful for the wonderful recordings James produced but in the light of Tadlow being wound up, it's clear they came at considerable financial cost. Many of us have said, record this, record that, but it's not our money that's at risk. I was happy to have contributed a chunk of cash towards his final recording, King Of Kings and to have attended the sessions at Smecky in November 2018. I hope James is OK and comes through this sad period.

We can consider ourselves extremely blessed that James (and Luc from Prometheus) did all these wonderful recordings at great personal sacrifice at a time when almost all other labels had stopped producing new recordings of classic film music. Just thinking about the fact that today I own beautiful pristine recordings of the complete scores of THE THIEF OF BAGDAD, DUEL IN THE SUN, QUO VADIS, THE CURSE OF FRANKENSTEIN/DRACULA, THE VIKINGS, BEN-HUR, THE ALAMO, EXODUS, KING OF KINGS, EL CID, THRILLER, THE GUNS OF NAVARONE, LAWRENCE OF ARABIA, SODOM AND GOMORRAH, TARAS BULBA, THE FALL OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE, MISTER MOSES, IS PARIS BURNING, THE BLUE MAX, HOUR OF THE GUN, VILLA RIDES, TRUE GRIT, THE PRIVATE LIFE OF SHERLOCK HOLMES, QB VII, OBSESSION, THE BETSY, THE SALAMANDER, CONAN THE BARBARIAN and CONAN THE DESTROYER, not to mention the numerous recordings James did for Silva Screen through the years, is nothing less than mind-blowing. God bless you, James. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Eventually, I am afraid of what impact the TADLOW RECORDS demise could have on PROMETHEUS RECORDS new recordings projects, as both labels were dealing with the same City of Prague Orchestra ressources. Already in June 2017 James Fitzpatrick had written this: "Luc has retired from doing new recordings...." https://filmscoremonthly.com/board/posts.cfm?forumID=1&pageID=2&threadID=120177&archive=0 At that time DUEL IN THE SUN should have been the last recording which was fully paid by Prometheus. So I think it was a small wonder that Prometheus just got up once more and also financed the recording of Nascimbene´s THE VIKINGS in 2018. But probably this won´t happen again as both James and Luc have lost so much money throughout all these last 10 or 12 years.
