Among many fine creative choices the producers made with this album: there is a pop-style Williams cue called "Learning The Ropes" that underscores a comic photo shoot gone wrong. Think "Training Montage" from Spacecamp. The new soundtrack assembly uses an alternate for that cue that fits in better with the score and moves the pop film version to the alternates at the end of disc one. Good call. Not an alternate, but the orchestral component only without the synthesizer.

Can't wait to grab this. A long(ish) pending order at Intrada has allowed me to add this title to it (Thanks Jeff), saving on postage and getting it sooner, rather than later. Dreamy!

There is also a fleeting connection between – ‘Sabrina’ – and – ‘Somewhere In Time’ – and that is that I had always believed that John Williams had conducted his own version of the – ‘Rhapsody On A Theme Of Paganini’… in the film itself; you can hear the – ‘Rhapsody’ – (quite clearly; mind you) – during the dinner scene when Linus raises his glass. I was hoping that it was going to be released on the second disc… Maybe it is included in the score program? If not; all I can assume is that they simply played a version which wasn’t conducted by John Williams…
IMDB has the answer for you: Rapsodie on a Theme of Paganini, 18th Variation by Sergei Rachmaninoff Performed by The London Promenade Orchestra Courtesy of The Reader's Digest Association Under license from Sony Music Special Products https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0114319/soundtrack/ I'm guessing the filmmakers took it from this CD: https://www.discogs.com/release/15731942-The-London-Promenade-Orchestra-Eric-Hammerstein-Moonlight-Classics then again – it appears that the Michael Dees version of – ‘(In The) Moonlight’ – is also absent from this release... – (as the vocal track has possibly been removed?)
"Moonlight Party Instrumental #3" sounds the same as what's in the movie to me, just without the Dees vocals.

So, Reeve, you could have had the Rachmaninoff track 34 years ago! Note that the contract for Mr. Sumner, CBE was very clear that no one else singing "Moonlight" could be included on an original Sabrina soundtrack.

Note that the contract for Mr. Summer, CBE was very clear that no one else singing "Moonlight" could be included on an original Sabrina soundtrack. Spelling police here: Sumner You really should say "auto-correct," not "spelling." However, "police" is doubly appropriate.
