The mixed soundtrack of the new Twilight Time Blu-ray release of THE WAYWARD BUS appears to be in mono.

Were the actual music sessions recorded in stereo, and is that what we'll have on this new Kritzerland CD???

Got mine today too, it's really great! I don't have much Previn music, I ought to start fixing that.

Listening to mine for a second time. Superb CD. 10 out of 10 without a doubt, for both the music itself and the excellent sound quality of this vibrant, vintage material.

So glad they're arriving and to hear the praise for Previn. He was a master.

Why are the tracks Cocktail Piano, Martinique #2 and Stork Club in the bonus section? Were they unused? I see Martinique #1 is in the main program. Do you know at what points in the track list those three bonus tracks would appear if placed in film order? And what does "new tag" mean after the Finale title?

All the source music tracks happen in a row, which is why I moved some of them - it was wearying as a listening experience and took away from the score proper for too long. Just a choice. New tag means Mr. Previn wrote an elongated ending for that piece, at least that's what it appears to be from the paperwork.

I am very excited to get this. This "type" of film music is probably my favorite bc it's professionally done, yet very fun and light-hearted. If I awoke to find myself an expert film composer, I'd write music like this.

I finally ordered this along with The Trial. Down to only 2 cds to get caught back up, Divorce Italian Style and the Harline cd. Hopefully Bruce will mail it off today and I will get it by Saturday. If not I'll enjoy it when it does get here.

If it was ordered prior to Monday morning at noon, then it got shipped. If it was ordered after, it won't go out until next Monday - the helper is on vacation till then - and well-deserved at that smile

I've had this on repeat for hours. Every play makes it more and more enjoyable. The only track I program out is the brief "Funeral" which is predictably glum and a bit out of place with the rest I think. Otherwise, there's a glorious energy and verve to all of it – not just the music but also the silky smooth performance and recording. I do hope people who haven't got it will keep it in mind when doing their CD budgeting!

For me, Previn is always addictive, much like George Duning. I've been listening to the first of our Duning scores (coming soon) and it's completely addictive just like this Previn.

I'm pleased to see the word "first" in anticipation of perhaps several Dunings.

I received my copy of All In a Night's Work on Friday, but due to a variety of reasons I haven't had a chance to listen to it until today. I've already spun it twice today. This score is delightful, loaded with beautiful melodies and colorful orchestrations.

The sound is fantastic, crystal clear.

Bruce, I just wanted to say that your efforts were greatly appreciated here.

Hmmm... They bound to be feature THAT non-Columbia scores listed by Bob DiMucci though...

That Touch of Mink (1962, Universal)
Who’s Got the Action? (1962, Paramount)
Island of Love (1963, Warner Bros.)
Who’s Been Sleeping In My Bed (1963, Paramount)
Critic’s Choice (1963, Warner Bros.)
Ensign Pulver (1964, Warner Bros.)
Brainstorm (1965, Warner Bros.)
My Blood Runs Cold (1965, Warner Bros.)
Dear Brigitte (1965, 20th Century Fox)
Terror In the Wax Museum (1973, CRC/BCP – now Paramount)
Arnold (1974, CRC/BCP – now Paramount)
The Man With Bogart’s Face (1980, 20th Century Fox)

Am I right ? Is that the list you were referring to ?

Because in that case, if we discard some studios that don't fit the former releases... It's pretty easy to narrowing down to some titles... wink
