The theme/gimmick was never designed to support the compassionate, earnest character Godot ended up turning Wonder Woman into, and my hope is that Zimmer might, miiiiight have the good sense to realize that.
Lots of typically-high Zimmer (and company?) energy with this. It hopefully is all the more effective alongside the visuals (because that’s what film music is supposed to do).
“It was very important to both of us,” continued the director, “to include and celebrate that beloved battle cry of a track that has now become so beloved and synonymous with her character, but Diana also now required a much purer and more heroic theme. And Hans provided the most mind-blowing suites of themes for Wonder Woman to now use, all related to and unfolded from his original track.
“He also gave Diana and Steve a love theme for the ages. He wrote Max, Barbara, and the Dreamstone their own extremely specific theme suite of emotional tracks that all veered from almost camp lightness of the era, to dire, to the profound and emotional.

Hmm. This new track doesn't sound particularly inspired - it sounds similar to what we have already from the other films, in fact. I was hoping Zimmer would get a bit more creative with an 80's sound. Maybe he still will in some parts, but I suspect not.

I liked what I heard. If someone says they like Brussels sprouts, who am I to argue?

RGW is just another Zimmer acolyte - apart from Mark Mancina and maybe John Powell, the Zimmer cult is bland and incapable of working without each other.
At this point Zimmer’s for the zoomers.
And aren’t the 80s done now? Isn’t it time for the 90s to shine again?
I'm still very much looking forward to this film and score, though in my opinion Zimmer is batting .500 with the two previously released tracks. But I'm an eternal optimist, and still hoping for the best.
IMO, both tracks are simply phenomenal. Lots of fun! No doom and glom in sight. I cannot WAIT to dive into the rest of the score because if these two tracks are any indication, then this score might very well be on my favourite scores of 2020 list.
