I will be very disappointed if it is not David Arnold. He can to melody like no other current composers.(All his Bonds) He can do cool.(Tomorrow Never Dies) He can do bombast.(Die Another Day) He can do elegance.(Quantum of Solace). It all comes down to the film! Whatever they make, he delivers an appropriate BOND score. This !

Could Pinar Toprak do Bond. No, because Michael Giacchino doesn't have much free time

Ugh... okay, everyone just suggest any composer they like as a Bond composer now.

Having relistened to Skyfall and Spectre in the last few weeks, I'd be very disappointed if they stick with Thomas Newman. Not angry, not throwing-furniture-out-of-windows furious, but those two are the least interesting scores in 007 history. If I were in charge (and I accept I'm not) I'd get David Arnold back.

I can't see the hold-up? Is there any development yet, I really think Bond should be a Brit composer keep it Barry we don't have many. Could Pinar Toprak do Bond. Uhm, Pinar Toprak isn't British.

I think they should hire someone like Farley, Clinton, Pemberton, or Arnold to ADAPT music from Barry's 11 scores. I would find it refreshing to see a new Bond film and hear real Barry music again. Then again, that might be a terrible idea since these newer films are so dependent on much too long action scenes, stunts, over-the-top sound effects, and chases. Less on Bond's wit, savvy. tension, and suspense.

No problem - injuries and illnesses plague every production. But on BOND it is always great clickbait.

Another composer who could contribute an interesting score - AND is also flavour of the month at present - is Benjamin Wallfisch. He's classically trained, been perverted by Remote Control and also really tapped into that John Barry/British sound with his recent score to KING OF THIEVES. No one will be good enough, honestly, but I sincerely hope they don't put their chips on Vanilla Zimmer.
