hmm... I guess this is especially for those few that don't already have THE BLACK SWAN, five other versions of CAPTAIN FROM CASTILLE and two versions of LOVE IS MANY SPLENDORED THING... Not sure I am that eager to spend 60 + massive shipping costs to get the CD 4 that only holds some new material This was the first post in this thread. I found it rather off-putting then and even more off-putting now - I think from the last many responses it is very clear how many people don't actually have any or at least some of the scores in this set. And just to state for the record again, the shipping cost for this is the same as for one CD - you really kind of should apologize. I don't think you will, but, you might want to think about it and maybe not do this kind of thing in the future. And what, pray tell (from your other post) WAS the last interesting Kritzerland release from last year? Thanks to all who've ordered and continue to order.

It does! But then I already thought it sounded fantastic on the SAE release (and the rest of the score, even better). Is there anything that stands out about it sounding better than the SAE? I'm buying this set regardless; I'm just curious. Yavar Re. Captain from Castile I always thought that the Main Title cue was the weakest sounding cue on the SAE release.

I've been wondering that myself... I'm assuming it was a similar situation to David and Bathsheba, but I'd like to know the details. The very opening notes of Black Swan uses the motif for the New World from Captain from Castille Of course...it's the other way around, since Black Swan was half a decade before Captain from Castile. It's a really good theme and works great for the New World, so I don't begrudge Newman the re-use, especially since Captain from Castile was such a monumental work with a dozen themes in it. Re. Captain from Castile I always thought that the Main Title cue was the weakest sounding cue on the SAE release. I think for some reason the main title only survived in mono, whereas the rest of the score was able to be reconstructed in stereo. I don't remember the details of why... Yavar

May I ask - where where the complete tracks for Prince of Foxes found? What format were they on? You certainly may ask Mike Matessino. They obviously found it.

Dare I say it? Would this not be a good time for La La Land to release Diary of Anne Frank? That indeed would be amazing timing, but they're already contributing The Bride of Frankenstein to this Golden Age love fest at the moment. Methinks we Golden Age fans will need to replenish our funds a bit now. I'm just glad to know it's still in the works at LLL and they haven't cancelled it like they had to do with the long-expected expansions of Waxman's Sayonara and The Spirit of St. Louis... Yavar

How the packaging looks like? Is it the same 5-6CD jewel case as FSM's Ben-Hur or is it the box set including jewel cases with individual scores as for example LLL's Harry Potter? Same as FSM's 5-CD jewel case for TV Omnibus.

Bruce, can you say how the Henry King at Fox is selling? Hope it will sell out! We've done better than I thought with it at Kritzerland, but while I know what the main dealer is taking, which is a good number, I don't know what the others are taking - that will tell the tale.

That sounds encouraging Bruce! Well, it's number ONE at Screen Archives and, in fact, Kritzerland has six titles in the top-ten!

How are sales coming along? I'm aiming to get this ASAP and I don't want to miss out. BTW - the set is nothing short of FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC!
