Just saw the film. Enjoyed it a lot (although I have a few reservations about it). Bernstein themes work well when they're incorporated into Simonsen's material, but when they just re-use a cue from the original, it completely took me out of it.

Says the Playlist review, "Composer Rob Simonsen does a superb job at imitating John Williams ..." Anyway, thought the film (like the Playlist comment above) was a misfire. Can't imagine anyone watching it twice.

The score is tremendously fun and so good, nice homage to Elmer Bernstein's themes One of my favorites of this year, so far.

This reminds me of the old Napster downloading days, when everyone film score that was uploaded, no matter what film, John Williams was always listed as composer. Unless it was something spooky or quirky, then it was Danny Elfman.

I concur the score was handled well. All familiar elements were present with new stuff. Credit to Peter Bernstein as Music Consultant - F.A.B! The film was fun but sincere.
