LaLa Land shipped quick but USPS dropped the ball - appears to be lost as tracking info still shows “arriving at next facility”. Same message for over a week. Will have to get with LaLa land and sort it out. Bummer. I think we'll have to be very patient for the CD to arrive, because of what's going on the world at the moment. My copy was also shipped a week ago and nothing happened after the 14th.

Listening now. Such a gorgeous score. I'm only a few tracks in, but I had forgotten how much I like the the opening 30 seconds of "Leaving Home." I don't think it's actually synths, it sounds like it's just ingeniously orchestrated to sound a bit like synths. It reminds me of Maurice Jarre's wonderful synth scores for Witness and Dead Poets Society. My goodness, there is NOTHING John Williams can't do. And when the full orchestra sweeps in halfway through the cue with the main theme, it reminds me why I love thematic orchestral film scores. THANK YOU LLL!!!! Glorious album!

Regarding the alternate End Credits track, however, is it just me or is it exactly the same as the film/album version?
Compare 1:52-3:00 and you'll hear a difference. It's different takes, not a different composition

A great release, really appreciated getting this (plus the POTA set, the Swarm and some other Jerry western scoes I somehow failed to order from LLL previously) during lockdown. It's one of those great JW scores that isn't Star Wars or Spielberg which easily gets forgotten about (only Superman is really well known outside of those two main groups). And yes, it sounds terrific, thanks LLL! On the matter of the original album programme, (I'm basically relaxed either way about inclusion... I trust the producers/composer and/or accept the contractual requirements), has anyone determined if you can simply reorder the new album to recreate (more or less) the original album presentation or are there significant enough differences in terms of track edits that you need to keep the original disc? There are certain JW scores where it's nice to have the original programme (the Harry Potter scores for example), where it's been curated and edited for album, but F&A seems a relatively straightforward presentation of the tracks as recorded. Any thoughts?

Recreating the EXACT album program is impossible without a WAV editor because JW lopped off the end of "Joe Sr's Death" for the original album, three tracks crossfade two cues together that are completely separated on the LLL, and the Enya song is not included on the LLL of course. All that being said, you can indeed more or less recreate the OST album (minus the Enya song) by just grabbing 21 of the tracks and ordering them like this: OST 01 County Galway, June 1892 = LLL 1-1 County Galway, June 1892 OST 02 The Fighting Donellys = LLL 1-2 The Fighting Donnellys OST 03 Joe Sr.'s Passing / The Duel Scene = LLL 1-3 Joe Sr.’s Passing followed by 1-7 The Duel Scene OST 04 Leaving Home = LLL 1-5 Leaving Home OST 05 Burning The Manor House = LLL 1-9 Burning The Manor House OST 06 Blowing Off Steam = LLL 1-11 Blowing Off Steam OST 07 Fighting For Dough = LLL 1-12 Fighting For Dough OST 08 Am I Beautiful? = LLL 1-10 Am I Beautiful? OST 09 The Big Match = LLL 1-15 The Big Match OST 10 Inside The Mansion = LLL 1-17 Inside The Mansion OST 11 Shannon Is Shot = LLL 1-18 Shannon Is Shot OST 12 Joseph's Dream = LLL 1-20 Joseph’s Dream OST 13 The Reunion = LLL 1-22 The Reunion (Film Version) followed by 1-19 Day Dreaming OST 14 Oklahoma Territory = LLL 2-1 Oklahoma Territory OST 15 The Land Race = LLL 2-2 The Land Race OST 16 Settling With Steven / The Race To The River = LLL 2-4 Settling With Steven followed by 2-3 Race To The River OST 17 Joseph And Shannon = LLL 2-5 Joseph And Shannon OST 18 Book Of Days = the Enya song OST 19 End Credits = LLL 2-6 End Credits Personally, I fail to see how that's a better listening experience than just listening to the LLL main program as it is, which is only 82 minutes long anyway.

Thanks Jason (love your meticulous work on this stuff, hugely appreciated!). I agree, it's not a huge time difference and the full score flows brilliantly. Guess it's interesting to know the differences and also just to confirm that there's no obvious great album arrangements I'm missing (which isn't always the case). Looks like the original album can easily be replaced wtih the LLL release then. I quite like the Enya song so that'll be an extra bonus track!

I think there's gonna be A LOT of delayed packages, while plenty of places are in lock-down. Just best to be patient and wait it out. The anticipation can part of the fun

Mine was delivered here to the UK on Monday but tracking still has it in transit between facilities in the US so perhaps there isn't as much of a backlog as thought. Hopefully things are still moving and you will all receive your orders soon.
