I do find it disconcerting that no one has come forth and spoken on James' or Tadlow's behalf. In months. And no, sure, no one owes us or anybody (except perhaps those who still wait for their orders) an explanation, but it would be prudent and normal policy to provide at least basic feedback, such as even a mere "yes, sorry, we can't/won't comment right now" . But nothing. For months. I find that strange. No outsider is entitled to details, and it's perfectly okay to not publicly announce all that’s going on, but that there has not even been the slightest notice, such as "sorry, we're down, Tadlow can't say anymore" or anything else is strangely peculiar. Something isn't quite right. We even had the trumpeter from FIRST BLOOD drop by and set some things straight when we wondered about the recording, yet here there is no one anywhere who might have a clue what's going on with James or Tadlow? Despite the fact they are a big part of the "film music community" (whoever they may be)? And I'm not talking about rolling it all out publicly, but not even a "we're closed and handle this in private" sign/notice has been put up.

I found some of my favourite scores through the re-recordings organized and released by Tadlow; and some of these scores were my introduction to composers I've now fostered a great love for. Taras Bulba, The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes, Quo Vadis, The Alamo, El Cid, QB VII, Hour Of The Gun, Exodus, Obsession, The Fall of the Roman Empire... these are just a few of the incredible scores I had the pleasure of discovering thanks to James and the Tadlow team. It's incredible that these recordings even exist in the first place considering the Herculean efforts it takes to make them happen; and it's a privilege that any of us get to listen to the fruits of this labor. We should all be grateful -- I know I am. I'll really miss Tadlow; and while I'll stay hopeful that a similar project may crop up in its absence, I'm also happy to be thankful for what we've got. If you're reading this James, thank you very much for all you've done. Hope you're doing OK out there BOSS

...but indeed they can't afford to loose so much money of course. Their output remains incredible, both TADLOW and PROMETHEUS. When I worked freelance for a couple of years, my tax preparer did everything she legally could to make sure my returns showed a loss.

Personally, I'm still hoping Tadlow will come back. As long as we don't have any official statement from James, I still believe Tadlow is still in the game.

AFAIK, Tadlow Music Limited will be dissolved on August 22, 2023 via compulsory strike-off. I'm afraid that is going to happen and I fear there is nothing now that can change that.

I dont know nothing about British law but is this decision absolutelly final? Can't the owner of the company make some statements and apply for the cancellation of the decision like this?

I think the company has received notices and has failed to comply. It seems the company is "dead" and doesn't do anything anymore (including providing necessary documentation), which is why it is set for compulsory strike-off on August 22nd, which is in five days. I do not know enough about UK law if something theoretically could still be done to prevent the strike-off, but it is only five days... and there is no sign of any activity from Tadlow.

For me personally every Tadlow and Prometheus release recorded by James was the most awaited release in every year. Im so happy and so grateful for James for his awesome work. "Conan the Barbarian" recorded by James forever will be the most important music album in my entire life... Also Rozsa recordings was so great. For me the most special is "Sodom and Gomorrah" because thank to James kindness I have opportunity to be in studio in Prague during "Sodom...." recording session. It was one of the greatest days in my life. The last announced release from Tadlow which sadly wasnt released until today was "Big Country and Beyond" 3CD set with Jerome Moross music. It was planned as box which summarized all material by Moross which James ever recorded for Silva during many years. I remember that years ago James on his Facebook speaks very enthusiasticaly about this release when he said that whole music material will be "reedited, remixed and remastered" which suggest a lot of work, but im sure Jerome Moross music will get very big sonic upgrade over old Silva releases. There is also cover mock up in latest newsletter from 2018 for this box. Also there was drawing of "Big Country" characters in similiar style like "King of Kings" and "Ben-Hur" which suggest that the same artist works on those releases. It all suggest that this box project was in an advanced production stage... I wonder if they any chances for this to be released in some way...

I was looking forward to that Moross set too. Very sad how this is all going down. Sure would be nice if someone updated the website to reflect the company's defunct status. Yavar
