I was always rather partial to.. "....You're weak. Your father was weak in his way. Your brother in his, and now you in yours..." It doesnt matter if Olivier was over-acting - something he got accused of regularly - his clipped pronunciation, his physical movement, his line delivery and screen presence in this film was awesome. Even the short white hair, glasses and raincoat look of the despicable Szell character was just right.

Relief and discomfort. What I apply next is up to you, Lukas - if you ever stop releasing these great CDs!!!!! scorechaser's pic and your post are screaming out for a line...but I cant think what it might be...its on the tip of my tongue.....

That was it!!! I knew it. Well done, Mutant. Hate it when you forget the most obvious stuff. Got there in the end, eh?

It takes an enormous amount of work for us to give sound clips for every track (not just selected tracks). We also offer twice the length of the typical sound clip (60 vs. 30 sec). The resolution is low(er) because that's what the studios asked for and it saves on file size. I hope people actually buy the CDs so they're not living with the low-res sound clips? Lukas I'd like to second the request for better sounding clips. They should certainly be indicative of the quality you're purchasing; even the 160 kbps suggestion might not do justice to the restoration work of so many of these great releases. Perhaps shorter clips would be a sufficient compromise? I don't want to live with the clips, but I do want them to encourage my buy. That's what they're there for.

That was it!!! I knew it. Well done, Mutant. Hate it when you forget the most obvious stuff. Got there in the end, eh? I can't remember the exact line, but the one that gives me the chill is when Olivier says something like, "Oh...it looks like you have a...cavity." That's the shiver-worthy line.

"Thus far I find you rather detestable. May I say that without hurting your feelings?"

Just to give my two cents on sound samples: I always used to look forward to FSM announcements just to hear the sound samples on their latest rescue but I hardly ever listen to FSM sound clips any more. Yes, 60 seconds is more generous than 30 but I would rather have a select few complete tracks (a la the RealPlayer days) because I see no point in clicking on 35 different 60 second samples that cut off annoyingly sometimes before the music really gets going. I guess Intrada has found a good middle ground, at least. Yavar

I don't even listen to the samples. Can't remember the last time I did. I know this score is great and I don't wanna hear it till it's in my CD player at home! Same here. I never listen to audio samples. Definitely don't need them to make a decision on this score.
