Fingers crossed I get it today! Although I waited to order til they were in the LOW numbers so if they ship these out in order of order numbers, I bet mine will take longer.

That doesn't make a difference Peter. I ordered mine hours before they sold out. I just happen to live nearby from where they shipped the CDs.

(And as predicted, this thread is full of more bitching. Don't blame Richard for bailing on this place.)

So that comment was directed at me. All I was angry about was that the stuff that was on the 17th disc was main titles and end credits. Which is stuff you can not only find on the Box, but also on their original album releases that are still in print. They've could at least put the Sleepy Hollow and Big Fish main titles in their entirety instead of the edited versions of it. I was also suggesting that they released unreleased stuff that couldn't fit on the albums on this box and put it on the bonus disc. I'm actually happy and excited for this box set. I just thought that was BS that the bonus disc was nothing special excluding Elfman's autograph like they made it out to be. I mean if you're going to release a bonus disc. It needs bonus material and not stuff that's already on the box and their original albums that are still availiable in stores. That's all I'm saying.

Well, Mr. Bond, it seems that although we are neighbors (I live ten minutes up the 405 from you) you still got your disc way ahead of anyone else. Lucky you! Hope mine comes before the end of the year (fingers crossed), too.

Oh, shit, mine just came in this morning. Accompanied by a flyer explaining bonus disc #17 is "limited to 1000 . . .and . . . autographed by Danny Elfman." The disc itself has the number 17 on it, an important detail. Whew!

That's all.

If it makes anyone feel better, I've yet to get my big shipment from Amazon France that I placed at the beginning of the month. That was due over a week ago. I'm hoping they didn't lose my Maurice Jarre box, Vladimir Cosma Vol. 2 Box, and the Sarde, Rombi and Petit scores in the mail.

Congrats Eugene. I'm sure the box will be awesome.

Write me a short note if you have the time. I may have something of interest.

Cheers!

I'm glad that the CD tracklisting is a kind of BEST of Danny Elfman as I had heard their first ideas was to have been sounds of Danny in the John. Glad they went for the best of approach!

That's unrequited glee. Deal with that, haters.

Note to Peter - unmarked padded envelope. Be on the look out!

Thanks Lori, good to know. I imagine I'll get it next week. Glad you got yours, looks good Lori!

To those of you on here that are looking forward to the box set, I give to you a little New Year's Eve sneak peak!!

I contemplated on posting these as someone somewhere will complain, oh they are too white, I hate that shade of white or or my gosh they delivered them in that box, look at that one side I can see a 1/20th inch tear, or some other odd goofy complaint. I think the photos look SWEET and I can't wait!

I got my autographed Disc 17 CD today. It shipped out on the 28th of Dec for those curious.

Hard to listen to it at work. A corner of my case is bent however. the envelope looked fine so not sure if it was bent in shipping or not.

How about a question? Will the teeth be black and the skull have an outline as advertised?

Denmark has received it.

The Batman Theme is not the OST album version but seems like the film version.

Mars Attacks! Main Title is not the film version but the OST version but it has been "opened" cleaver on the cd - I do miss the "Introduction" though. Film version has a long tone in the end where we see The White House.

The beginning of Alice's Theme sounds like some Trailer music - and it's definitely Elfman's new style (also heard in the opening of T4).

Has the sound quality (for the earlier scores) improved?
