I think the word upcoming should be removed by now

Yes, unfortunately "Nevercoming Book: THE JERRY GOLDSMITH COMPANION 1 & 2" seems more accurate...

I just reported this campaign to Kickstarter, so we may expect a new BS update real soon

How does one do this? I’d like to report it also.

Just go here and scroll to the bottom of the campaign page and click on Report this project to kickstarter. it will prompt you to login and you can go from there.

At this point, I think I'd rather have the money back and just pay some nominal fee for the PDF. Life is too short to worry about fictional release dates.

Agreed. Just give me my cash back. I'll settle for the PDF.

Hooray, there is an actual update.

"The first set of proofs for the hardbound editions have arrived and Jeff Bond has given them his final approval. He found seven minor corrections, updates and alterations along with the formatting of the covers requiring obvious adjustments. All is currently being handled by our designer, Erica Enders. Once the softbound proofs arrive, we’ll make the identical adjustments, then will move on to the final step of processing your orders. We’ll also update the current digital editions to make sure they match with the latest hardcopies."

Time Remaining in 2025:

To be honest, looking at the photo of the proof set. It's really scary how messy (fucked) all the format and layout is. What printer lets this being printed without alerting its client???
Brace yourself for the worst.
I foresee a lot more printing errors once we get this thing in our hands.
You can note that none of the suggested improvements of the cover have been applied (gold leave lettering, embossed title, etc...)

You know what's interesting?

Coincidence?

No, Jeff Bond had last week given some positive feedback on this development on a Goldsmith facebook group. So this is not because of some usual negative flack causing a response. It was expected.

The covers do look rather rough and poorly aligned. We were told they rejected other printers previously based on quality issues, and this is the end result. After looking at how haphazard that is, I hope the insides are readable and words aren't cut off.

Looking at the binding edge, the large letters spelling "JERRY" and "GOLDSMITH" shouldn't be spilling onto the cover, but confined to the edge, right?

My thoughts exactly. The spine titles are spilling right over the joints and onto the front and back covers. That surely can't be intentional so it's either a very, very bad printing attempt or that photo is a badly rendered mock-up and those aren't real books? (The latter seems unlikely but this entire fiasco is so deep into Twilight Zone territory that I don't think any revelation could shock me...)

So the latest update is looking for sympathy because of the wild fires (see! It’s not our fault!) while blaming people for not updating their address while also telling us to be “good to eachother” SIC.

Hey Taylor, go fuck yourself.

PROOFS??? How many sets of PROOFS have there been, for heaven't sake? This isn't an update because it says NOTHING about the printer or how long that process will take. I mean, is it in the queue for the fifth time? Did I miss the part about fires and stuff?

As to the formatting, of the book proper, it's really odd to have paragraphs with spaces between them. They did it because they didn't indent the first line of each paragraph, which is kind of what normal books do. I mentioned it - no one cared.

So based on reading that update links to updated PDFs are probably coming soon.

That depends on their definition of “soon” which seems to mean “never.”

So true. Truly ridiculous. This is simply more of the same. Rinse and repeat.
As a public service, let me provide you with the next "update"

"Hello everyone! We are proud to announce that the proofs establishing the final proofs have been approved by our proof committee. However unfortunately our window for our printing partners in Lithuania has closed. But worry not. We are shifting printing operations to a monastery in Uzbekistan, to be transcribed by monks. Ok?
Terrible about those orphans and the Bolivian earthquakes. Be good to each other!"
