At least my order shipped from La La Land but fingers crossed as it will take more than 2 months to reach me.

My package just arrived without any notice.

Great! That means there still is some hope for mine to arrive... someday...

Do all CD's these days have text data standard? No details are coming up from the data base when I try to rip it in EAC? Havent encountered this in a long time. .

Do you have EAC set up for FreeDB? Unfortunately FreeDB is gone. The best alternate solution I know is the Cuetools plugin

Thanks Terra
I do have cuetools but somehow it had defaulted back to FreeDB. Go figure?
Thanks.

dBpoweramp works perfectly for me, no plugins or toggling needed. Super simple, and it verifies your rip for accuracy and gets all the track title info, etc. You do have to pay $39 up front, but I made the switch from EAC because frankly I didn't have the technical savvy to troubleshot EAC.

I use EAC. Had to copy track listings from LLL website to my clipboard then import them into EAC for this one...a bit more work. Great release though!

I think EAC is a pretty good programme. I've rarely had any issues but the interface sure could use an update.

I love this score. So happy we got a complete version of this extraordinary score. Remember buying the original cd not knowing that Williams wrote it. I was at the record store just looking for something interesting and came across to that. Bought it instantly and loved it ever since. The film was quite good too.

My package got shipped on march 17th and still hasn't arrived in Belgium...

Ok, it's officially a month now...Getting really worried because I see it's available at Music Box Records and Chris' Soundtrack Corner.

I'm sure it will turn up at some stage for you. I remember once waiting 6 weeks for my copy of The Deep to arrive when I ordered it. I'd almost given up on it and it eventually appeared. Sometimes these deliveries seem to get help up somewhere in the Postal service between US and Europe I've noticed. I've waited 3-4 weeks several times.

Thanks. I'll wait a little longer. It has given me the chance to dig out some older stuff again.

Hi Luc !

Not sure if this can be kind of comfort, but the tracking of my package for an order placed on late March still shows on April 2nd : LOS ANGELES CA INTERNATIONAL DISTRIBUTION CENTER / PROCESSED THROUGH REGIONAL FACILITY

I believe patience is the nowadays-more-than-ever keyword... ;-)

Edit on 04/26 :

Thrilled to see that today, on April 26nd, the shipping status has changed into...

LOS ANGELES CA INTERNATIONAL DISTRIBUTION CENTER / PROCESSED THROUGH REGIONAL FACILITY

I think whatever blockage or backlog was happening around our way got unplugged today, cos our front porch looked like it's very own Royal Mail sorting office.
As well as my Intrada box, (which included this beauty) there was a Vasco Cine package and about 5 or 6 singular eBay buys from the past 6 weeks or so.
Now I know how Johnny Blanko feels any given Friday in his Shop.
There will be lots of new sounds emanating from Chateau McGann in these coming days and weeks smile

Such beautiful music! I recall that the writer in the American Record Guide named it (the album) as Williams's finest to that date. I'm not sure I needed to hear it at such length, but I sure enjoyed the listening. It's odd how little I remember of the movie: Breathtaking scenery at the start, greatly enhanced by the hushed and variegated music. Some skulduggery and fights. Something about a mixing bowl. And of course the triumphant land race (apart from that hokey moment when a punch to the muzzle transforms a sorry nag into a champion racer). That music (unlike the film) has lingered in my memory for decades, and it never fails to thrill.

It's good to be rid of the pop song that disfigured the end credits. That's a modern movie curse that JW has usually managed to avoid. Odd, however, that the generally informative booklet notes don't mention this improvement. (I see it is discussed above.)

LOS ANGELES CA INTERNATIONAL DISTRIBUTION CENTER

It seems the plane with my package has not left the U.S. yet frown

i've had similar "problems" with 2 packages from intrada

Morituri shipped 1 day after release from the always busy hamsters, but arrived in Tokyo and stays there since april 2nd. never had this route for a delivery to germany

US Marshals stays since 8th at an US Airport

but both arrived in germany last friday, but without any further infos about the tracking, seems the did not scan every step in the tracking as usual.

And, two days after the previous ludicrous update updating the very same situation stated on April 2nd, here is as follows the even-more ludicrous today-update :

April 28th : LOS ANGELES, UNITED STATES / ARRIVED

Really ?

This beauty finally arrived yesterday and it only took 6 weeks to get here! Nevertheless, thank you LaLaLand for this treasure, one my all time favorite John Williams' scores.

Just a quick question, relating to this set, which I'm sure Mike M can answer (unless Mr Williams is reading, which, in case, he'll do) wink ..and apologies if it's already been asked/answered elsewhere.

Why is the film version of Oklahoma Territory in the 'additional music/bonus' section, and not the 'score presentation' where it arguably belongs?

Lovely set, btw. I love The Big Chieftain asking JW to let him loose on the opening cue and JW laughing and saying he thought he'd never ask. The extra stuff doesn't really change the score overall (and I can see why JW left 'The Barn/Running Away' off the original album, as it's pretty noodling stuff for JW), but it's still nice to have and I love Into The Bath and some of the little alternates.
And it all sounds great!
