Right? It's pretty simple nowadays to create whatever program you want, skip tracks, create playlists, etc, that it's really a non-issue, as long as the tracks don't overlap. I for one am pretty excited to get this. It'll be my first purchase of this score.

Just curious - what do you use for heating and cooling in your country? Here in the US it is typically forced air gas heat in the winter, and air conditioning in the summer. Even with all that turned off, I am still getting right around 40 db. Computer fan noise is usually the culprit here. It has nothing to do with living in a noisy area, as if you live in the city, your average background noise level is closer to 60 db. Two major problems listening on headphones. First, it's not even close to being an accurate representation of what a live performance sounds like. When has the last time you listened to a soloist or vocalist in a live setting where the sound of the instrument or singer was localized someplace inside your head? Also, you miss out on the reflected sound of the room, which is much of what gives music its sense of "space" and openness. We have no mandatory requirements for heating/cooling in residential buildings, despite living in a country that regularly experiences summer temperatures above 40 degress c and winter levels below zero. Some people with means have a/c units but they are power hungry (and we are in the midst of an energy crisis). I am 48 years old and have never lived in a house with an a/c installation. Why would one have a computer in a listening room? Could one not turn it (and it's noisy fan) off (along with the fridge?) I agree that headphones are not soundstage accurate, but in the presence of a noise-filled environment they are the only option. I'd rather not have my recordings dumbed down to appease the car listeners In any case, I'm thrilled this is being re-issued and hope that the compression will not detract from the SQ. Are there any other examples of expansions that have been remastered with a similar high dynamic range (for comparative purposes)?

I would also purchase it. I just bought some Intrada CD's in the past week and grabbed a couple before these either sell out or go out of stock. I wish ROCKETEER was one of these. I think APOLLO 13 was also out of stock again - and that would also have been a purchase. I'm finding that working from home for the past month has saved me a lot in fuel and other costs, so I am taking advantage by buying what I can now. I know that the manufacturing process, lead times, and inventory levels don't make good business best practice to keep huge amounts of a certain run of discs in stock. So, I hope that we don't have to wait until a large batch 100 or 250 is warranted. Very MaxB Selling my copy of Apollo 13. iliveforhim1976 at Gmail dot com

It is supposed to ship on 6/11. Of course if anything like what happened with Ulzana's Raid happens it could take a couple of weeks to arrive. With Ulzana, UPS said they attempted to deliver, but said no one was there which was a lie because Jeff was there waiting for them. When he called UPS they said they assumed Intrada was closed and so was returning them to sender. After reminding them that their only job is to deliver packages, they should at least try to do their job before making assumptions. Anyway, took a week of back and forth to get them. How hard is it, really?

6/20/2020 Coming in for next week, one of my personal favorites: The Young Lions. Yes, the 1958 Hugo Friedhofer masterpiece. All of it. What a classic this one is! And considering how long we’ve been out-of-stock on The Rocketeer, it feels like a new release. Since this “back-in-stock” title is in fact a very modest “re-master”, maybe in one manner it is new. After re-licensing additional pressings with Disney, and with input from passionate fans of this wildly popular Jame Horner gem, we opted to retain the 1991 levels and EQ decisions as per original scoring mixer Shawn Murphy. Same 2-CD contents, new-ish 2-CD sound. Both this Intrada action-packed best-seller and Friedhofer’s celebrated, Academy Award-nominated score will be available this Tuesday, June 23. Artwork, audio samples and contents will be posted here Monday eve prior. Stay safe! http://store.intrada.com/s.nl/sc.13/category.60330/.f The Rocketeer is back! Check 'Doug's Corner' for announcement.

Looking forward to ordering this along with a few titles to support the label.

UGGGH! And I had to wait until this weekend to secure the funds after paying the bills. Now I am disappointed a second time for not being able to order it. Very MaxB Same. Something tells me the Ebay scalpers had a hand in this. There really should be a limit one per customer on these high demand releases.
