Shawn Levy’s fun fantasy family comedy, which was based on a 90s children’s book and spawned two sequels, was released in theaters 15 years ago today. Silvestri’s mystical score contains a catchy main theme, which he’d continue to use for the following two sequels. Not only is there a lot of “Mickey Mousing” with the score but the album contains plenty of tracks under a minute to a minute and a half in length so it might be too much on album.
That concert vid Thor posted in the Witched of Eastwick thread, of Tennis Game followed by a track from E.T., has kicked off a season of the latter in these parts. This won't get out of my player, and it's now the soundtrack for Christmas.
