Strangely forgotten is Frederic Talgorn's two scores for Young Indiana Jones, including a very good Great Escape-esque score

Lets hope that DOOM & CRUSADE are ALSO being expanded. I asked Mike Mattessino if he and the old team was inlvolved in this box set and unfortunately he ISNT! Nor is Nick Redman. So it could only mean that other folks such as Laurenat Borzeau who did CE3K, ET & JAWS could be involved with Concorde.

Yeah, when Neil S Bulk seemed surprised at a more expanded Raiders, I figured MM and NR weren't involved.

Anyway, anyone could be involved--maybe even LK! We won't find out til Concord decides to let us know. big grin

There are several ways to look on the bright side of things here. Let us just suppose that we get what's already out there. Okay, no muss or need for hair pulling and hand wringing. We already have the material.

If that not be the case, any additional music is gravy, and well worth picking this up. How can anyone possibly lose given either outcome? Yawn.

yeah, I'm happy no matter what comes out (as long as its affordable)

I wish they didn't opt for DIGIPACKS, but it must be significantly cheaper, and hey if thats what it takes to get stuff released, then so be it.

I don't see it that way .The extra cues on Raiders aren't enough and we need at least an expanded ToD and LC.

Forget the Alien 2 c.d set, forget the LotR complete recordings, forget the El Cid 3 c.d. set ,forget the Superman Blue Box. For me this is it ,THE big score release I've been waiting for,and I sure hope I'm not let down this time. So excuse me if I don't share that "great for those that didn't have official copies of the old OST's" sentiment.

Okay. But what will you do if they don't release it as you wish? At least folks will have official releases of material that is already out there that they don't have.

All is generally right with the world, even with the bitching and moaning.

Hey, my philosopy has always been that way, even when things were not going well. And trust me, I've kissed a lot of f---ing frogs.

I worked damned hard to get where I am. And I'm proud of myself for it.

An Indy equivalent of the 1994 SW Anthology box set would still be amazing.

I agree, that would be awesome, even though it will leave out something. I still have some hope that the Bonus Interview disc will include also some unreleased/alternate tracks from the three original films.

This would seem to make the most sense. A full disc for each film plus bonus cues on the extra disc. smile
Also, remember that if 'End Credits' is actually the film version of the cue(it could be an edit but it sounds like a different recording to me), it's a lot shorter than the 6 min version of the theme released on the previous editions of the score

If I'm correct, the film version of RAIDERS' "End Credits" (i.e. Raiders March) is edited down from the full version.

And Indiana Jones The Complete Soundtracks Collection on November 11th

http://www.moviemusic.com/soundtrack/indianajonescollection

From Peter Kelly (http://www.moviemusic.com/mb/Forum1/HTML/003187.html) :

Indiana Jones: The Complete Soundtracks Collection

For the first time ever all four Indiana Jones soundtrack albums are available in this limited edition collectible CD boxed set! Included are expanded and remastered versions of Raiders of the Lost Ark, and exclusive to this set: Indiana Jones & The Temple Doom, and Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade. This set also includes the Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull soundtrack plus a bonus interview CD with composer John Williams on the making of this historic music. Housed in a handsome embossed slip case and presented with a full color booklet, this set reintroduces the iconic original Indiana Jones film scores by Oscar-winning composer John Williams - out of print since 1995! A must for fans and collectors alike, all will rejoice in having all these soundtracks presented together expanded with previously unreleased music - along with this summer's blockbuster Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull available together for the very first time. Relive the musical adventure today!

I think temple of doom and Last Crusade expanded will be exclusive to the set.

Read this carefully:
Included are expanded and remastered versions of Raiders of the Lost Ark, and exclusive to this set: Indiana Jones & The Temple Doom, and Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade. This set also includes the Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

They all must be expanded, if they weren't then the sentence isn't constructed correctly.

It doesn't say complete. Hmmm smile We'll see.

There is this sentence ALSO confirming it:

Spielboy: I have some issues about old Silva/DCC reissue. The expanded release sounded like with less dynamic range. Anyone?

Ed: I agree completely. The "new" sections of the DCC release had a slightly different "feel" to them with less reverb and a lightly more pinched sound. A different source intercut with the album master probably.

I just don't get it. The DCC was, and still is, a fabulous album in every respect -- a top drawer production. I highly doubt that it will be bettered in terms of sound quality or presentation.

I just hope people won't "attack" Concorde when they don't get what they wanted. The press release is very clear: expanded, not complete. I'm more than happy with that.
Just remember, attacking those Concorde guys could also lead in "we never get a complete realease" thing.

The "Raiders" CD is bloody cheap! I suppose that's the difference of selling 50,000 copies rather than 3000.

Well, I suppose it's worth hanging on until the Box comes out, because I don't have a legit TEMPLE and I haven't yet bought SKULL. Time was when I'd have bought SKULL as soon as it was released....
