01-12 Circus Opening / The Flying Graysons / Death Drop 3:41 (Insert track 18, disc 2 (1:35-end) at 0:56 as an overlay)

This is the only bit I don't get. D2T18 is Descent?

At the end of track 18 on disc 2 there's a hidden cue (trumpets introducing the Flying Graysons). It's not heard during track 12 on disc 1 so you have to edit it yourself.

It's actually track 28 on disc, I think - hence the confusion

Here's an updated list. I've made some mistakes with the disc and track numbers and I've discovered that track 2 (1:24-end) should be placed between track 3 (Chase Blanc) and track 4 (Thug Fight).

Ah ok, understood. The 'easter egg' Mr. Bulk doesn't know about. wink

Actually, that bit comes from a cue in between Chase Blanc and Thug Fight - it's called 'Back in the Bank', and apparently Goldenthal asked for it not to be included. Which is fair, it's redundant next to the end of 'Introducing Two-Face'.

Been watching the forum but had to post after hearing that - As if he would he ask not to have that cue included, I always loved that bit in the film, does the actual cue exist anywhere sfx free?

You could sequence it that way, but it's not strictly necessary. While those vamping bars were first written for "Back at the Bank" -- which would indeed have gone between "Chase Blanc" (originally titled "Romantic Entrance") and "Thug Fight" -- those measures were also deliberately slated to be used to extend "Introducing Two-Face." So the way the track flows on the CD is perfectly legitimate, and in accordance with the intentions of the composer.

Got it today! Looks great. Thanks for more Bat-music, MV!
I know you said you wouldn't rest until all Batman music is released on your label. Are there any Bat-projects being worked on by LLL? Or can you even say if you are? I guess then most fans would rain down questions of "is it done yet?" "Will you include this alternate 30-second track PLEASE?" and "Can you use this and this or this or this as the cover art?" Oh well. I just destroyed any reason you should give me an answer. Oh well.

But here's something someone can help me with. What track has the Alien 3 music in it? I searched by every track for that little cross symbol to indicate it had the Alien 3 music, but couldn't find it.

You need to learn how to use the "Search" function of your web browser! It's right there in the main post of this thread - disc 1, track 21

I know how to use it - I first looked at this thead. My fault was I looked at the end of the tracks, where the asterisks were. The cross symbol is in the middle of the track name. Thanks Jason!

Am I a terrible person if I consider Goldenthal's Batman theme to be superior to Elfman's? Though for my money, I still think Shirley Walker's Batman:TAS might be the best musical representation of the Bat.

Chris.

The B section of the Walker theme (plays concurrently with the main theme) is so good that it should've been a theme in its own right. Fantastic.

About the Alien 3 music, out of curiosity -- is it from the Alien 3 recordings or was it rerecorded, and if the former, was it on the OST?

It's from the Alien 3 recordings, but a different mix. It was found by Neil on the Batman Forever tapes, and there is no paperwork indication that Goldenthal ever wrote anything original for the scene in question

The Warner Bros. marketing department obviously does not agree:

To address some questions:

1. We hope to do more Bat related titles this year. Fingers crossed. smile
2. The title is selling very well.
3. Yes you are a terrible person, but we love you any way. smile
4. The full blown theme of BTAS incorporating both Elfman and Walker's themes is the best Batman theme EVER!
