I own....INVISIBLE MAN.

Fine score, good presentation.
Is there a need/desire for expansion?

For you, Thor and Marcato, no.

I removed Iron Will from the McNeely wish list in my first post, because Intrada has just announced a 77 minute complete edition!
http://store.intrada.com/s.nl/it.A/id.11842/.f

I would surmise from this that Disney did not typically (or ever?) grant perpetuity rights to outside labels, even though it was Varese's standard policy at the time to get perpetuity rights. In this they were like StudioCanal (Total Recall, Basic Instinct, etc.) so going forward we can probably assume that anything Disney-owned is fair game for Intrada to expand, even if there was a previous album on Varese.

An expanded "Experiment In Terror". PLEASE!

None of the Varese in perp titles really interest me beyond the original OST's. At least none are holy grails expansions.

Wow! I was expecting to update this with news of Varese releasing U.S. Marshals, but it turns out that it, like LLL's The Swarm, has been delayed even though Bruce Botnick already told us they were imminent. But as a consolation we get a two disc release of one of Danny Elfman's greatest scores (and one of the few Varese controls in perpetuity for him): Dolores Claiborne!

I have replaced it in my initial post with Real Steel, a later Elfman score I still rather like, which Varese presumably maintains the rights on.

The list is missing one of my favorite thriller scores -- George Fenton's FINAL ANALYSIS. Come to think of it I'd add Seaquest and Year of the Comet (Barry) to the list.

Right on Roger. Great score by Fenton. Gotta have all 75 Minutes of it out!!!

"A Perfect Murder" by JNH needs some love here too along with Trevor Rabin's Deep Blue Sea.

Late to this but...

Barry's YEAR OF THE COMET? I've currently got the Varese CD of Hummie Mann's score in the car - it's perfectly alright in a pleasant enough way - but do they actually own the John Barry one?

Removed Debney's Seaquest DSV from the original post -- WOW, TWO DISCS OF DEBNEY from Varese. The original album was just a half hour deal...now they've expanded the pilot score to (presumably) complete form on Disc 1, and included a generous selection of Debney's season one scoring on Disc 2!
https://www.varesesarabande.com/products/seaquest-dsv-the-deluxe-edition

And that's not all...in the thread on these new Deluxe Editions, Varese producer Bryon Davis wrote the following in response to the inquiry, "One assumes if Seaquest sells well, more to come?":

yes. We would love to do a release with Don Davis' music as well.

So this could just be the first of multiple volumes, if we help it sell out (only 1500 copies)!

The other Deluxe Edition announced today was totally out of left field for me: Harold Faltermeyer's The Running Man (1987):

This new expansion simultaneously released on vinyl, to my surprise:
https://www.varesesarabande.com/products/the-running-man-deluxe-edition-vinyl

This wasn't on my radar and I don't remember anyone else mentioning it in this thread, but I imagine Faltermeyer fans are pleased that the original 41 minute 17 track album has been expanded to 35 tracks, with a lot of film versions of cues being premiered on this.

Just belatedly bumping this to remove Wild Wild West from my Bernstein Wish List -- Varese's new expansion was REVELATORY and I love this score so much more than I ever did before (I thought it fun but semi-disposable in its half hour incarnation, but in complete form it's like a completely different score with so many great ideas and variety and energy to it all).

I have to wonder what will happen with the Fox/Disney owned perpetuity titles in light of the buyout.

A deluxe edition of Powell’s Paycheck would be very welcome.

I'll go with Hollowman or 13th Warrior for a Goldsmith.

So back in March we got Deluxe Editions of The Serpent and the Rainbow by Brad Fiedel and Along Came a Spider by Jerry Goldsmith, the latter covered here in a special Soundtrack Spotlight episode of The Goldsmith Odyssey:

Varese recently revealed that the are announcing more titles at the end of this week, with image clues to come tomorrow...what are folks excited for next?

SeaQuest by D. Davis - some Graeme Revell - or maybe everyone's favorite guess - BRAINSTORM!

We need a James Horner expansion for a change.
