The Grammys (like so many other awards), of course, are a popularity contest, celebrating who is en vogue, rather than who delivers truly award-worthy fare. I like the song but I don't think it is great. It´s another subdued ballad, a SKYFALL variant through the prism of Eilish. Would it have been chosen for this award if another, lesser known artist had sung it? No way.

It's always been the case that in vogue singers are chosen, but now it's getting ridiculous. This is nowhere near as good as Skyfall IMHO. That, and You Know My Name, are in a different league to the others.

Why? And also How? Since nobody has seen the "visual media" for which this was written. So how can anybody judge its effectiveness? Hahaha, what a bullshit. The Grammy is a MUSIC award, not a FILM award. They don't need a movie, to judge ! THAT'S why Billie & Hans will be nominate to Oscars, probably, AFTER the film premiere - in 2022 or 2023 a.d. - not 2020/2021 (today) - because Oscar is a FILM award, and they need a movie to judge.

Adam, but why it was not nominated as song? It was nominated for VISUAL MEDIA. Let's say - it was unfair. As no-one knows, how good it works with that visual media. No. Grammy is a music award, as always. That's why Billie hasn't got a nomination for an Oscar today - because Oscar is a FILM award, and they need a movie to judge.

Then why have a "Visual Media" category at all since, if judging the music alone, the context of it makes no difference... Just so they can give out more awards? It's no different than the Best Adapted Screenplay Oscar, where you can bet 99.999% of those reading haven't read one piece of the original material, much less all of them, so there's no way for them to judge how worthy it is as a work of adaptation. As a result, I consider it "Best Screenplay That Happens To Be Adapted." This is just a Grammy for a song that happens to appear in a movie. Even if it had been released, most of the voters would probably be voting without having seen the movie.

Anybody any idea why David Arnold no longer scores the Bond films ???? On Skyfall and Spectre, Sam Mendes was director and Thomas Newman is his regular composer. I suspect they came as a package. I don't know why Arnold wasn't re-employed on No Time To Die, but Arnold's film work has been limited over recent years. He seems now to focus on TV.

They want a big, popular name for the score, for a marketing reasons, so Zimmer was the only choice. I'm ok with that.

Actually he wasnt the only choice. They initally had a different composer ( Cant remember his name right now but supposedly he was a frequent collaborator with Cary Fukanga. They didnt like his score so replaced him with Zimmer at a very late stage ( Which more than likely cost them big time ).
