Please, can someone post hi-res covers for each CD of this set (besides the Movie Thrillers one already above)?

Also here (registering required though but it's a great cover website):

^^not accessible in my country due to Blockscript.

Getting anxious to receive this but it may still be weeks out from Canada. Ah well, I'll just savor it the more from waiting.

Finally heard a few tracks. Amazing remastering by Abbey Road. Sounds great.

Just curious- did you order from Amazon.ca? I did and got my order within 4 days.

I did, back in mid-August. And I'm still waiting on the darn thing. It has a shipping arrival estimate of Sep 8 - Sep 29. I don't know why it's taking so long.

I know I sound like a broken record, but I really hope that a (Eloquence) box set will follow the other recordings. They are now issuing a Furtwängler box set, although there is already one and a more comprehensive one will follow by EMI, yet there is no place for a single re-issue for the Herrmann recordings. Odd.

Weird. I ordered Aug 11 and got it delivered on August 13….I seem to recall there was limited stock at the time however

FYI this set is down to $38 on Amazon USA. Not in stock yet, but you can order it. I finally picked up a copy. Couldn't resist the price. I have a total of ZERO Herrmann scores so this should help.

You'll never be the same after this, in the best possible way.

I messaged Decca a few weeks ago because this was showing as Sold Out on their page, so I contacted them to check if it was sold out or whether it was just temporarily out of stock.

The lady who emailed me back said it was indeed sold out and was unaware for plans for further pressings.

I can only assume that means sold out means after allocating all the stock ordered by other retailers.

Even so you might want to go to this page, click the support button, and say, "Please press more of these."

Stephen,
Thank you for the info....at that price I'm not surprised it's "sold out"

Hmmmmm….I wonder if Amazon will ever get this in stock if it’s sold out. It has said “In stock soon” for what seems like close to a month and they keep pushing back the estimated shipping date. I decided not to preorder it and then once it came out Amazon USA showed “ships and sells from Amazon UK.” It quickly went back to “In stock soon” and has been like that ever since.

Okay I know they've had some bad press on here but 'Elite Soundtracks' in the UK have some copies available.
Personally I've never had any problems with them apart from the odd slow delivery perhaps.

Well I just got around to playing my set. And Oh my goodness. The sound quality upgrade is da bomb!! I also have the previous editions including the Decca Eloquence pressings (which I had expected to be better but was the same as previous pressings) So get ready for a brand new pristine listening experience. I even played it on my multi channel AVR and it sounds like I'm sitting with the orchestra. Bravo to Decca.

I really hope the Out of Stock/ Sold Out status is temporary. Many independent Retailers like SAE and Intrada are also expecting it to be in stock. So I hope you guys can order from there.

To sell out so quickly, it looks as if Decca miscalculated badly, how many of these they could sell - especially as Herrmann has world wide interest. I see that they also released a 50 box set of Phase 4 recordings last year, which is also sold out - wish I'd known about that earlier.

My order is still "pending" at SAE. No ETA. I'm wondering if they ran out of copies and have backordered mine.

This is true for mine as well. The item itself lists a "planned release for Mid September". I'm not sure how labels / retailers deal with this sort of thing.

Not sure why Decca gives the release date of that Phase 4 set as last September as it was actually released in 2017. But Amazon still have some copies it seems. It's listed as "Phase Four Stereo Crossover Collection", which is not the title given anywhere on the box. Though it's not quite the set I would have compiled the set is still a great snapshot of the Phase 4 era, and many of the discs sound much better than the Vocalion reissues.

Thanks for that. Yes, a bit too much Ronnie Aldrich for me but otherwise not too bad.

I have just checked amazon/UK and, according to them, the Herrmann box is still in stock there.
