Masada is just speculation, is it not?

I believe so. I don’t think Roger’s actually revealed what the 4-CD reissue is yet.

I'm betting on "Conan the Destroyer" being the 4 cd release.

why should it be MASADA? The full score fits on 2 CDs and brief re-recording barely fills half of CD 3? razz

I don’t think it is necessarily about what would fit. Intrada has at times produced multiple CD sets when they could have squeezed the music on one CD. Patton is one that comes to mind. Perhaps there is significantly more music to make a 3rd CD and the album has its own CD.

Good lord, people! Intrada said that in previous edition some tracks were in mono. Can anyone name any mono cue in their 2CD release of Masada (or confirm same about tracks from re-recorded album)?

He mentions split mono and now they will be true stereo. So we probably did not pick up on it as we would true mono. Of course it could be something completely different but it has a Masada vibe to it. smile

I know it's not the day after Thanksgiving in Spain. Does anyone know when Quartet will announce its final releases for 2021 ?

If it's in line with last year, I would expect it to happen December 7.

I would love to see La Casa De Papel (MONEY HEIST) get a soundtrack release.

Quartet is offering a 25% off everything sale for Black Friday right now.

So only Quartet and Intrada to announce their final releases, Intrada just the 4 Disc set.

Roger has just announced Toy Soldiers for one of the last Intrada releases:

”Also coming in our last batch of the year....an expanded edition:”

http://www.intrada.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=8805&start=15

Now that just leaves the 4 Disc set to be announced.

That was posted upthread.

Along with John Debney's Clifford The Big Red Dog.

Doug’s Corner on the last Intrada releases of the year, plus the upcoming Goldsmith twofer

Here we all be, ending November 2021 with little respite from the global COVID pandemic begun some two years earlier. Offering some mild comfort amidst the challenges are three new releases from Intrada, scheduled for Tuesday, December 7. Two of these bring newly remastered presentations to your ears, one slightly expanded, one with over a half hour of previously unreleased material. Our third release offers the CD premiere of a current feature film soundtrack, scored for full orchestra by a hugely prolific composer. Artwork, contents and sound samples for all three releases should be available here on Monday, December 6 with orders ready to begin shipping on Tuesday. And for eagerly waiting Jerry Goldsmith listeners, our brand new recording of Black Patch coupled with The Man is being readied for early 2022 release. It’s kind of interesting to note that our last newly-rerecorded album with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra that offered Dimitri Tiomkin’s intricate score for the Hitchcock classic, Dial M For Murder, was recorded late in 2019 and released as the afore-mentioned pandemic was taking root. Now, as I prepare Black Patch for final mastering and work with ever-busy Frank DeWald on the program notes for the packaging, everything is unfolding during the still-evolving tragic environment that saw us recording Tiomkin’s music in. Seems like sooo long ago. Let us all hope that our next re-recording with the RSNO happens amongst healthier days!

We already know two of them are Toy Soldiers and Clifford the Big Red Dog and the post gives a little more info on the 4-CD set.

Does anybody here know if today's two CD releases (and one LP) are QUARTET's final batch for the year 2021?

I don't think so. I think they will have one more batch in a couple of weeks.

In line with prevous years, I would imagine it would be Monday 07 December, that said it would be helpfull if there was some indication from Quartet.

Dare I hope… James Newton Howard’s Jungle Cruise?
