I am pretty sure this a great release but I won't get it, at least at the moment. And this has been the issue for a while. I started buying cd releases a long time ago and I can tell you I had the chance and luck to get almost everything I wanted. I recall when I got 'FIELD OF DREAMS' original release, that was a great addition to my collection. Today this business has become crazy. I appreciate what labels are doing but not living in USA, shipping costs are impossible, I recall when I could get a single Varese club release for a good price. Today, it costs you most the shipping costs that the cd itself. Someone said this was a definitive edition. Don't think so. If something has told me time is that EVERTHING gets rereleased. That's the business and I think it's fine to have chance to get a single score but I think it was easier years ago. You could go to the retail and get it, not shipping costs, not customs and enjoying the buying experience. I appreciate what labels are doing but nowadays I appreciate even more to enjoy the old playlist than albums featuring the whole thing (there are exceptions of course, like 'BATMAN FOREVER'). I am getting into Thor's opinion that a good playlist makes a good representation of the score and that it is usually hard to listen the whole thing. And must tell that I get Jack's issue because being a veteran collector, I own a lot of the main scores by the usual composers and unless it is something like a OST made like Mancini and Williams did in the old times, I don't get the point of having to pay again for the old disc. That said, I am pretty sure this new relesae is great and lets new customer to appreciate Horner's score but I am sorry to say I am not really interested on it and sometimes I miss labels getting into new and unreleased film music.

Some really interesting comments on this thread while we wait for the "shipped!/ Arrived!" posts. I think all views are valid. Sometimes the repetition between film score/ album presentations on two discs can get irritating, although I can accept why they can be necessary. Both the recent Glory and Legend releases are guilty of this (I bought Glory, haven't bought Legend) but I guess you just have to go with it if it's a score you love. Shipping costs are here to stay and only going to get worse I'm afraid, and heaven help us if La La Land and Intrada go digital only and some releases are licensed for the US only, excluding the rest of us entirely. We may look back even on these days as "good old days" one day. Intrada and LLL are not going digital only. MANY of these great archival scores that we crave the studios will not give labels the digital rights. Occasionally they get them, but it's few and far between.

I'm not that familiar with the score but in some of the primary piano music I'm hearing what might have been an inspiration for Newman's SHAWSHANK and even AMERICAN BEAUTY.

I'm hoping to put my order in with SAE tomorrow when my pay comes in, along with Glory, 48 Hours and Another 48 Hours. A Horner order if ever there was one. That's a hell of a selection. Glory and Field of Dreams were constantly on my player back in 1989. I haven't sprung on the 48 Hrs albums yet, I was never so keen on his action scores, much preferred his quieter, Moe intimate material. But those four make one hell of an order. I purchased both 48 Hours scores, Cobra Kai Season 4, and Field of Dreams. I have actually not heard Field of Dreams or the 48 Hours scores but I loved what I heard from the samples. Can't wait to explore these scores. I'm a huge fan of 80s action movie scores so I know I will love 48 Hours soundtracks. Field of Dreams just sounds lovely.
