Hello. I registered to post this, after reading others here have had similar experiences with Disney Music Emporium.
This has happened to me twice now. Disney music emporium charged 24% “tax” when I ordered the Hunchback Legacy Cd last year, when I asked, they said it is for VAT. Then I had to pay it again at the customs. I got a refund from DME after sending receipts by email. They apologized, saying they didn’t know how things worked yet, because the law had recently changed. (This is true.)
However, the same thing happened with Aladdin Legacy Cd… this time I had payed with PayPal, thinking they would be able to handle things better. When I contacted them they said DME had told them the additional charge wasn’t for tax, but an additional handling fee. It was clearly marked “tax” everywhere, including the receipt.
So, I emailed DME, telling them they must not do this, because it is unnecessary and unfair. I encourage everyone to do the same. (I haven’t heard back from them yet.)

[Thanks for the heads up, but I was under the impression if they charge us 21% VAT extra that they would wire this to our customs because I paid my declaration fee to DME. Really not happy with this because they don't have the right to charge us this, on what basis?! Will email them.
I also thought Belgian Costums would let it pass, but no luck. I haven't received the package yet, so I don't know if the shipping label specifically says taxes have been paid. Maybe that is the problem?

I ended up paying double taxes. Once while ordering and once when Belgian Customs got a hold of my order. The problem is Disney does not indicate on the shipping label that taxes have been paid. I have yet to try mailing them to try and get the taxes paid while ordering back.

How much were the Belgian customs/post charges?
Is there an option not to pay taxes when ordering at Disney Emporium?
They charged €36: 15 for handling the package, 21 for taxes (the same amount Disney charged, so at least they agree on how much we have to pay  )
If there is such an option, I completely missed it, but I don't think there is.

I finally acquired a copy of this, and while it's nice to have, it's very unfortunate the film version of "A Whole New World" isn't included. It has an entirely different performance of the music along with different vocal takes from the soundtrack version, which sits in its place instead. Very disappointing, and very odd since the soundtrack version doesn't match the emotion of the previous track that leads into the film version. At least they didn't attempt a crossfade.
