Based on what, though?

I hope so, but I think so many Bonds in such a short time is not possible.

Why not? What are you basing that thought on? We know that LLL themselves were approached by the rights holders to produce anniversary editions, and that we’ve already gotten five Bonds within 2024! I don’t think there’s any sort of “cap” rule; why would there be? How many new Bond score editions came out at once in 2003, produced by Lukas? (And he was limited by time and budget to produce them, but he had no explicit number limit that he has ever mentioned.)

I think LLL is being smart and putting all their resources into pumping these out as fast as they can to keep up with the anniversaries. That’s probably why Mike Matessino worked on Moonraker while Chris Malone tackled Goldfinger and The Man with the Golden Gun. I doubt LLL is limited by anything except their contractors’ available hours in producing these. I think we’ll see them doing all they can before the release window for another Bond film approaches. That’s why I’m not too bothered about any new Bond film announcements because we don’t want the soundtrack expansions to cease until everything deserving is done (right?) — and once there is a new Bond film release date, we’ll very likely be in the same situation that hit LLL on No Time to Die.

Completely agree. I think they'll try and get as many as they possibly can out, ASAP. They've said they sell like hotcakes, so make hay while the sun shines etc.

Why stick to anniversaries? In four years, there may well be a new film in production so an expanded LTK would get shunted off to 2034 - maybe. Do them while you can. I certainly wouldn't object to a 37th Anniversary Edition release of LICENCE TO KILL.

This year, yes, but not on January 15th, I think..

Relax. Bond Will be Back next week.

Lol, you really are a strange little fella. One moment you're nagging and nagging for more Bond... And now that it seems like more Bond is actually on the imminent horizon, you're like: nah, I don't think so...

I think (hope) that on the 15th we’ll see LTK 35th anniversary and OHMSS 55th plus a non-Bond title (as LLL mentioned that the Jan. 15 titles were initially 2024 Black Friday releases, the anniversary thing would work).

Then other expected Bond releases for this year would be AVTAK 40th (Barry’s only remaining score for the series never expanded [FRWL like Goldfinger and Dr.No supposedly do not have tapes available]), Thunderball 60th and Goldeneye 30th.

But if LLL manages to release even more, non-anniversary editions of TSWLM, TLD even better… I really hope that they manage to do them all until Goldeneye and the sooner the better (and it is great that they’ré all selling well).

I will buy more Bond score. On Her Majesty's Secret Service complete would be most welcome.

FWIW my understanding is that the 2003 release of OHMSS is complete save for the film take of Escape from Piz Gloria, which was on a water damaged tape. Granted, I'll take any Bond from LLL since I missed those 2003 releases (viva DAF!)

I too hope to see the rest of the Bond scores get released by LLLR.

The teams currently working on these releases have proven time and again that they will get as close to definitive releases as possible and even when no additional music is presented, such as Goldfinger, the releases are marked improvements on what has been previously released.

I wish other score releases were as profitable to LLLR as the Bond scores have been, but such is the Markey for physical media.

I am so glad to see this partnership with EON and have loved each and every BOND release.

Thanks LLLR and all involved.

Being 2025, I wonder if LLL will be releasing the scores this year for:

- Thunderball (60th Anniversary)
- A View To A Kill (40th Anniversary)
- GoldenEye (30th Anniversary)

???

Most likely.
View to a Kill is my second favourite of the 80s Bond scores after TLD. Barry knocked it out of the park in my opinion.

Even if the film material is subpar, Barry produced an excellent score for Man with the Golden Gun. He has never let me down.

Indeed. I was surprised to enjoy it as much as I did Moonraker after hearing for so long that Golden Gun represented Barry on autopilot. I found no such thing to be true.

Agree with this too, found myself going back to Golden Gun more than Moonraker. This also happened with LALD instead of Octopussy, which surprised me too. I think the dramatic improvement in sound is what pulls me back - Golden Gun and LALD are both now sonically sensational, really great to listen to through.

I have listened to the new Golden Gun soundtrack many times over the past few weeks. Barry isn't exactly on autopilot (which he was on many later non-Bond scores), but I don't hear the same kind of effort that went into most of his other Bond scores. The improved sound quality really brings out the detail that Barry put into the music. I find that the good stuff in this score is in the details, but it lacks in the big ideas that went into Diamonds Are Forever and Moonraker.

Ordered on Dec. 8th '24 and still not received.
Didn't realize LLL was so slow.
Next time will order elsewhere.

Barry had very little time to write TMWTGG, in contrast to Moonraker. And I believe it was him who once said that people sometimes forget film music is written for a living, and thus, it can sound formulaic at times, especially when there's not much time to write and record.

In my opinion, TMWTGG is a perfect example of that.

Really been enjoying this stunning new full presentation of Golden Gun and Moonraker over the holiday period. Such a phenomenal improvement in sound quality and fabulous to have all the extra music. Especially got a buzz out of the instrumental version of the Golden Gun song with its thumping snare drum. Great fun. Thank you LALA!

E-mail or call them with order #.
I e-mailed and said order couldn't be traced and was probably their mistake.
I cancelled, will get it elsewhere; a month and one week and no shipping it's unacceptable.
CD's may be super nice but with customer service like this fear they may not be in business
long.
