I've signed up twice, once last evening and once this morning, and have yet to get a confirmation email. And I've looked in my spam box. I actually don't use a spam filter for that matter. So what's the deal?
The first time I signed in, there was no response. I tried again later on and got an immediate e-mail. So keep trying I guess.
Tried three times, using different email addresses... nothing yet, will try again. Thanks for the heads up. What an amazing release. Plus the promo for it was a lot of fun.
I am very happy for everyone who buys and wants this release. I own most of the existing 60s Star Trek releases and to tell you the truth I don`t listen to them very often. I do listen on the other hand to the tapes DALLAS composer Richard Lewis Warren sent me of his DALLAS scores all the time. So if LLL would release a 15 CD set of DALLAS scores or of other 80s/90s scores like
- Falcon Crest - Matlock - Father Dowling Mysteries - Knots Landing - Scarecrow and Mrs. King

I would buy it in a heartbeat.
DALLAS... oh yes. Lucky dog. Richard Lewis Warren's music. Arghh. The show had some of the best music around (ever). I love the new series on TNT... but my only complaint... the music is okay, but no where near the power or class of the first DALLAS series. Jerrold Immel, Bruce Broughton, John Parker, Angela Morley, Richard Lewis Warren, Lance Rubin... amazing scores. One of the dvd seasons actually had a very interesting documentary in regards to the music. Mr. Immel and Mr. Broughton were both interviewed. Very interesting.
I just went to the link and registered. Or did I? So far, I haven't received the e-mail follow-up, without which (LLL says) the registration is not in effect.

Anybody else having any problems registering?

How many of you having problems have previously been on their mailing list? I was and had no issues getting an auto response. Still think there's a good chance its a spam issue. ISP's might be "holding" onto those auto responses if that many are attempting to go out at once. Is LLL on the "white list"?

Another show from that period with outstanding scores were Arthur Rubenstein's music for both "Bring Em' Back Alive" and "The Wizard." I remember attending a "Wizard" session at Fox in early '87 and just being blown away with the full, rich sounds Rubenstein got from a relatively small orchestra (no more than thirty players, perhaps as few as twenty-five). I think some people forget just how good those scores were (right up there with ST:TOS, Dallas, Quincy, 5-0 and Bonanza).

I gave up and sent them an E-Mail with my name and info. Although I've sent them several E-Mails recently concerning a faulty copy of Rio Lobo, with no reply, so maybe their E-Mail doesn't work consistently either.

I regularly get email from La-La Land and several other film music companies, and they never go into a spam file. My spam file is empty. If my ISP is holding something, that would be a first. I suspect that there is just simply a problem with the return email system LLL is using. Perhaps if we stop trying to think up other reasons for this, somebody over there will take a look at it and correct the problem.
I'm just a tad worried how they're going to pack it...
I hope, judging from the package art, that each disc is housed in a standard-sized jewel case. Dealing with scratches or other damage would be a big headache with this much content.
I know what I'm getting for Christmas. Cannot wait to hear sound samples. Interested in the new fidelity of "The Cage". "Monster Fight" from the GNP release is a sonic mess.
We smoke it! It sounds better and it's complete! We finally have the vocal cue from that scene.
Also, Monster Fight was re-recorded every season as library music, so you'll hear that cue quite a bit.
I remember vividly how I felt when the first GNP LP came out with the pilot scores: thrilled to death as I first played it....then crushingly disappointed that the Fight Music from Where No Man Has Gone Before was omitted.
Registered but failed to get a confirmation link. I'm sure they'll sort it out.
Having serious trouble thinking of a box set that could be more exciting than this-- as much trouble as I'm having figuring out how I'll come with $200 of mad money!

It took an hour or two for my confirmation link to make its way to my inbox....
