Somebody in the TrekCore thread posted this which I hadn't heard of, claiming that Horner wrote music for it. It does use material from Horner's scores, certainly, and some of it is tracked I suspect (or at the least re-recorded). But some of this music sounds like new material based on the same themes. I wonder if recordings for it exist and it could be included:

O M G

I couldn't stop laughing. Especially @ 3:25. Well all of the scenes. I'm glad I wasn't drinking anything....

Since LLL is taking requests for the 50th anniversary I thought it would be a good time to re visit this website to make requests easier

Regarding "Star Trek Adventure," I did attempt to research that but did not find much. Paramount loaned Horner's score manuscripts out for use in making the new arrangements that were recorded (I found a memo to that effect), but there was nothing in the way of to whom. So I do not know who produced that attraction, where the masters might be, or who owns them now. If anyone knows, please post!

Task Research, McFadden Systems (now SimEx-Iwerks), Smith Bruni Design all worked on that production.

I'd start with SimEx-Iwerks. Maybe someone might know more.

Here she is. An edited version of the Epilogue from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan without Nimoy's voiceover.

This clip was made in 2002, a whole seven years before the expanded soundtrack was released.

"Amok Time" (Gerald Fried) - especially the fight music.

Having just rewatched it, one of the tracks with the 'sword theme' from Sword of Kahless might be good; my pick would be the track at around 29:00, where they are sitting around the fire, talking of what will be done with the sword.

This is a great and kind offer. Thanks so much. I imagine some of this may be covered by the upcoming ‘Voyager’ set but I would really love as many examples of the ‘Voyager’ Main title as possible please. I love this theme so much that any alternate takes, rehearsal takes or even failed takes would be so appreciated. One of the finest TV main titles ever created I feel … Thanks again.

Best Wishes, Gareth

DS9 S0326 - The Jem'Hadar
37:50 - 42:32: Suicide run on the Odyssey

DS9 S04E01 - Way of the Warrior
1:04:09 - 1:08:12: Rescuing the Council

DS9 S06E06 - Sacrifice of Angels

The DS9 release pulled a few select pieces from the score, but there's so much great stuff here that's missing, particularly:

11:57 - 13:50 : the Federation fleet engages the Dominion fleet
23:09 - 28:22 : Quark and Ziyal free Kira and Rom, Odo saves Kira and Rom
31:33 - 35:54 : Sisko faces the Prophets, pleads for their help
41:45 - 44:15 : DS9 retaken, Sisko and Dukat (Ds9 disc 3, track 13 ends just before this)

I second your vote for these selections. I have often wished for a soundtrack release of those particular action scores from Jem'Hadar and Way of the Warrior. I also agree that Sacrifice of Angels needs more released, especially the music as they return to the station (was kinda bummed the first DS9 collection didn't include it). Great choices!

"Night" definitely has a remarkably inspired score. I've often wondered what Chattaway saw in it, given the episode itself is nothing special.

I agree—but this has been available since 1992! And the complete score is on the TOS box set from La-La Land.

I am seeking a volunteer to go through this thread (as well as the ones at Trekcore and TrekBBS) and compile all of the suggestions/comments into a spreadsheet or a word doc—whatever is simplest. Anything lists all of the requests and keeps the useful annotations/explanations.

Please email me, Lukas@filmscoremonthly.com. Thanks!

Perhaps Chattaway could write an expanded orchestral arrangement of Harry Kim's opus for Clarinet "Echos from the Void" hahahahahaha
