There are a lot of cues on the Justice League set that I know I'll love, but I'm going to save my thoughts on those until I've had the chance to hear them in all their isolated glory. In the meantime, I just want to list some terrific cues that didn't make the cut - hopefully this set will sell well enough to justify the release of a 2-disc Volume 2 someday, in which case I'd love to see these released: 1. Secret Society (Shade's Robbery at the beginning is a fantastic cue, as is the part 2 recap; the JL vs. Secret Society fight cues are all amazing as well) 2. A Better World (the cues included from this two-parter on the set are absolutely brilliant, but it would also be great to have the bit where Flash tricks Justice Lord Batman into freeing him from captivity - it's a beautiful cue) 3. Twilight (the fight with the army of Brainiacs is an excellent cue, and both episodes conclude with incredible music, whether it's the League's arrival on the Brainiac moon at the end of part 1, or the "You know something, Bruce... you're not always right" exchange at the end of part 2) 4. Starcrossed (although this is represented VERY well on the set, I would also like to have the part 2 recap, the part 3 recap, and the first couple of cues from part 3 - including the Bat-Cave fight) 5. Eclipsed (the Flash Lightspeed Booster Bar TV Commercial early on in part 1 is a great cue) 6. Wild Cards (my favourite cue from this two-parter is on the set, but I would also like to have the Watchtower cue at the start of part 1, the bit where Batman grapples away from the volcano later on in the same episode, and Flash disposing of the last bomb in part 2) 7. Only a Dream (again, my favourite cues are on the set, but it would be nice to have the Flash vs. Luminus fight from part 1) 8. Secret Origins (it would be very cool to have Batman's fight with the three aliens early on in part 1, and J'onn's origin flashback from part 2) 9. Comfort and Joy (the episode's best cues are on the set, but it's worth noting that the opening scene has some lovely music right before the intro) 10. A Knight of Shadows (the final fight - along with J'onn's ultimate rejection of Morgaine Le Fey - has some great music that would be worth releasing) 11. Hearts and Minds (the music when Flash is ambushed by John Stewart's landlady in part 1 is highly enjoyable, and would be worth releasing someday) Even without the above cues though, the new 4-CD release looks utterly amazing and I hope people will pick it up!

Here's a great interview from the "Dynamic Music Partners" on the releases of their music from The Killing Joke, Justice League, and Batman: the Animated Series http://www.worldsfinestonline.com/WF/dcuam/thekillingjoke/extras/dmpinterview.php Very wonderful interview indeed! Most of their interviews are largely taken up by questions about their origin story (which anyone interested in their work is already quite familiar with) so I'm glad The World's Finest didn't re-tread that old ground (not that it isn't a fun story to read, of course!) It was fun reading about their process for choosing which tracks to be featured on releases! I enjoyed seeing YOUNG JUSTICE name-dropped; I was hoping a second volume of that might be produced sometime, but I doubt it's something that'll happen at this point. "Justice League" was the first project we worked on that we did not have the full live orchestra like we did on “Batman: The Animated Series”... Did Mike forget about BATMAN BEYOND? I suppose he meant it was the first time he was expected to produce an orchestral sound without the benefit of actually having an orchestra! "It’s terribly difficult! If only CDs had unlimited space, then it would save hours of mental anguish worrying which of my 'children' would be able to go out into the world to be appreciated on its own, away from the picture!" I know Kris said this (mostly) in jest, but it makes me wonder if he and the two others could pursue the idea of selling their work at digital outlets if they really were interested (since, of course, there is no "size limit" for digital files). I don't know how much red tape that would require going through and if the end result would be worth it. All in all though it's probably for the best that JUSTICE LEAGUE is being released the way it is, with highlights; not every track is worth hearing outside the picture more than once or twice, especially when there are dozens of episodes worth of them; better to present the strongest tracks instead of tiring yourself out with tracks that don't quite stand strongly on their own. I wasn't going to immediately buy THE KILLING JOKE - I was going to see what others had to say about it first - but after reading how excited the DMP are about their score, I'll be ready to purchase it as soon as it goes online!

I was at the La La Land booth at Comic Con last night and I picked up a few goodies. They included a flyer which is teasing the following upcoming albums. Some of which had already been revealed, but a few that were surprises to me at least: Ferris Bueller's Day Off Star Trek Enterprise, vol 2 (4-CD set) Wonder Woman: The TV Series (3-CD set) The X-Files, vol 3 (4-CD set) Arrow: Season 4 DC's Legends of Tomorrow: Season 1 Justice League vs. Teen Titans/Batman Bad Blood (2-CD set)

Last word on FBDO was likely sometime August and MV also said he unearthered a number of surprises in regards to songs and score.
