Ok this has officially become an enigma, all pre-orders have disappeared from the SAE and Intrada sites. Has anyone received this set in the US from a US source? I got a copy from Dusty Groove in mid-August, $44.99. They have restocked at least once since then, though at the moment it's "Temporarily Out Of Stock." One nice thing about the Dusty Groove site is that it's consistently updated to reflect what they actually have on hand. Here's a link to the page: https://www.dustygroove.com/item/987381 EDITED TO ADD (Sept. 21) - It looks like Dusty Groove has updated their page from "Temporarily Out Of Stock" to "Out Of Stock," which I typically take to mean they don't expect to get any more copies. Sorry.

I messaged Decca a few weeks ago because this was showing as Sold Out on their page, so I contacted them to check if it was sold out or whether it was just temporarily out of stock. The lady who emailed me back said it was indeed sold out and was unaware for plans for further pressings. I can only assume that means sold out means after allocating all the stock ordered by other retailers. Even so you might want to go to this page, click the support button, and say, "Please press more of these." https://shop.decca.com/The-Film-Scores-of-Bernard-Herrmann/72B20000000 Cheers To sell out so quickly, it looks as if Decca miscalculated badly, how many of these they could sell - especially as Herrmann has world wide interest. I see that they also released a 50 box set of Phase 4 recordings last year, which is also sold out - wish I'd known about that earlier. I believe there are three Phase 4 box sets - I have one of them somewhere.

Ordered this from Amazon.ca a month ago and still haven't received it. It shipped immediately but did have a long delivery window of September 9th through September 29th, which is now almost up. Getting anxious that something is amiss but didn't want to bother the seller until I'd allowed the delivery window to pass. Is this long delivery time normal for items shipping from Canada to the U.S.? I hoping this isn't something I'll be seeking a refund on and then hunting down elsewhere.

Sorry to hear that Mr. Replicant006. I ordered mine from a US retailer early August and when it seemed clear it wasn't going to ship, I ordered a copy from Amazon.ca on August 27th (very late in the evening) and lo and behold, I had my copy less than 12 hours later the next morning. Hopefully, people will start receiving their sets soon. (Because, unsurprisingly, it is fantastic!)

Still have not received this. Seller from Canada has posted arrival as late as September 29th - 6 weeks from when I ordered it - but it's not looking good. May need to try to get a refund and look elsewhere.

Such is life, I guess. The seller is supposedly very reputable but who knows. I wouldn't question this so much if it took them a while to get it shipped. But it shipped immediately after I ordered it.

Many Amazon sellers mark their item as "Shipped" almost as soon as they receive the order because they don't receive their payment via Amazon's system until they record the item as "Shipped". They might not actually ship the package until later. Amazon is a little screwy in the way they do this third-party stuff. They want the sellers to immediately "accept" the order - in fact, you get penalized if you wait too long. But then buyers AND Amazon want that tracking number that instant - but that's not how it happens. The seller has to find the item and THEN create the shipping/tracking and then can enter. That can take days. It's flawed but how it is.

In my particular instance, the item indicates that tracking may be available but when I click on the button for more info none is provided. It's just shown as "shipped" since I ordered it in mid-August.
