Any chance of some Alfred Newman, Dimitri Tiomkin, Paul J Smith or Victor Young coming down the pipeline?

We do have Diary of Anne Frank coming out at some point. I just hope they can get it out before the Disney-Fox deal officially goes into effect.

Hi La La Land folks,

any news about Levays "Airwolf"- and Post's & Carpenter's "Rockford"-, "Magnum"- and "A-Team"-scores?

I hope some day

MV

Well in that case... just planting an early seed. The best Magnum score by far is from the season 7 episode 'Death And Taxes' smile

Dear MV,

Are there any Goldsmith titles to be expected soon?
What about Innerspace?

Greetings

Any chance of an unreleased John Williams score and not an expansion?

Regards from Greece

As everyone else's questions are being answered, I'll take the lack of response to my own question as "no comment."

He did?! Yipes I totally missed that. Thanks Schiffy for pointing that out.

Yes please look into it MV! Take a good, long look. If you produce that score, I promise to buy 50 copies myself!*

*as long as they are priced at $0.01 each (USD) smile

edit: went back in the thread and looked. Yep, MV answered plain as day. Don't know how I missed that.

Haha...that's how I felt about my inquiry about Support Your Local Sheriff! But in all fairness MV is a busy man. I kinda figured that early on when this thread was started he answered a couple questions of mine and with anything since then it's been, "No more questions for you!" wink

Truth be told, the Universal Heritage Collection was supposed to kick off with Sugarland Express, but after careful consideration the project was dropped at the request of the composer. Bummer too, because it was pretty darn awesome!

Perhaps one day...

I asked about that and was waiting for an answer. Were the elements good on the blu?

Thanks for the answer. smile

Seemed good, though maybe Mike Mattesino could give them a bit more TLC to sound better on disc? The pairing might be a bit trickier from UA...Support Your Local Gunfighter is the obvious pairing though IMO that score kinda sucks...

Film-wise, Support Your Local Gunfighter was almost as big a disappointment after Support Your Local Sheriff as Fierce Creatures was after A Fish Called Wanda...but at least Fierce Creatures had a fun Goldsmith score whereas Gunfighter's score was just as disappointing as the movie IMO.

Have you seen either film, MV? If you're into westerns, you must see Support Your Local Sheriff -- it's a hoot!

Shame about Sugarland Express...though even more a shame IMO when we found out from Roger at Intrada that they discovered Universal had elements for both Story of a Woman and The Rare Breed, and Williams apparently nixed both of those. IMO they're even better music than Sugarland and unlike Sugarland, totally unreleased even on compilations. (Oh wait...Rare Breed actually had a short re-recorded suite from Silva I think.)

Maybe you didn't see my annual question either. Or maybe it's a "no comment" thing... razz

How about that 20th anniversary of Cruel Intentions next year, huh?
Isn't that a neat idea, or what? big grin
