I'm basically offline and off-drinks on Saturdays and Sundays. Hardly visit messageboards except for a brief glimpse on my phone. Drink-wise, it's ALL about Fridays to me (unless I have to re-organize due to some appointments or party on a Saturday, in which case I begrudgingly "sacrifice" my Friday -- I can't do two in a row anymore).

But I had a nice little haul on Friday. Tried out a few US micro brewery IPAs I hadn't tried before. In addition to all the obligatory stuff (Belgian blondes, Camp red wine, Rosemount white wine etc.).

Onya, how do you combine rums on a Sunday and the work day that is Monday?

I pace myself, hydrate while I'm drinking, and knock off early.

Yesterday, I had a few glasses of wine in the afternoon, the mai tai at around 5 pm, and dinner at around 7. We watched a movie after dinner, and I drank fizzy water with dinner. Got up at 7:30 am and I feel fine.

Makes sense to do another edition next Saturday, as it will then be one month since the last.

So next meeting is SATURDAY, APRIL 24, at 21:00 (9 PM) Norway time.

Spirited mood is encouraged. Occasional incoherence and interuption are tolerated. Type of beverage is voluntary. wink

I thought it would be a nice idea if we could prepare a handful of film-, music- or film music-related books that we'd like to recommend or show everyone else. So just pick them from your book shelf and put them next to your computer.

PS. Friday is ALWAYS preferred, at least for me, but I want to accomodate US members once in a while.

I am looking forward to today's chat later.

I am waiting for a beer delivery today that may not arrive until after the start - I am not confident Yodel will even find our house!

I hope to be there too, but I'll be late, but hopefully not too late. I have to go around the neighbours' houses first, asking them if they can lend me any film music books.

- "Excuse me, Mrs. Watson.....could you lend me a cup of sugar, please? Oh, and if you don't mind, a copy of Royal S. Brown's OVERTONES AND UNDERTONES while you're at it".

Yes, I've thought and thought and thought, but don't know how I can accomodate. There is still the loose plan about us Europeans starting the drinking at 2PM - which is doable, I guess. That's 9:30 PM for Adeleide. But the problem appears when I have to keep going, because late at night, Euro-time, it's afternoon in the US. And before you know it, I've had a continous 12-hour party. Don't know if I can do that anymore at age 43, LOL!

But you and I can have a chat drink at that hour at some point.

Thor, have you found any upscale Oslo supermarkets that carry coconut water?

Your future self will thank you.

This is real life in all its glory. Forget the comfort of The Woolly Stephen bar.
