Can we have a limit of 3 RIP threads per day? Surely the recently departed would understand. They're in no rush anyways.

Afraid of death, eh?

The Non-Filmscore Discussion Thread has turned into the fracking "Obituaries"!

Which is made all the more apparent when that one FSMer proceeds to do (informative) weeks-long career retrospectives.

I remember when Peter O'Toole finally died and there were dozens of posts in his R.I.P. thread. I thought it was the outpouring of collective, film-loving FSMer grief instead of one man's mission in life.

I hope DiMucci is getting overtime pay. Would suck if he was on salary.

Dont u be knocking Dimooch - he does a sterling job. Its not his fault if stars snuff it in 3s. It means celebs here get at least a worthy thread to commemorate their work. Better than 8 people saying rip and love to his/her family! wink

Who else thinks Adam B's 2019 Christmas CD giveaway was the best one ever? How soon can we get Adam B and Last Child on The Jerry Springer Show?

That is a stupid question (or supposition) - I'm finished dealing with holier-than-thou hypocrites.

Relax, we're just having fun. We tease one another all the time around here.

How could Lesley Gore have had a bigger hit in 1963 --"She's a Fool" was #14 for the year--than "It's My Party"?--#29 for the year.

How?!? Why?!? Did "She's a Fool" somehow capture a wildly-popular-but-since-forgotten teenaged "moment" of September, 1963?

And who the hell is Lesley Gore?

Why, she was a well-known Cat-hench-girl who did a little singing on the side, of course.

"It's My Party"?... phht.
"She's A Fool"?... meh.
"California Nights"... THAT'S yer money shot.

Meow.

Wasn't she the 60's female voice version of Wayne Newton?

And who the hell is Wayne Newton?

Oh wait...he was on a Bonanza episode a hundred years ago, right?

Big boy with the girly voice wasn't he? Danke Schoen?

Can you believe that piece of crap song was once actually a hit?

Would you believe he was in two episodes? And that the second one was a "Christmas" episode?

Why? Why? Why?

Did Patrick O'Neal once lie down in a turtleneck sweater hands behind his head upon a dark walnut wood bed in a hotel room with a pumpkin colored bedspread and Gerald Ford era plaid floor to ceiling curtains complete with beige wall to wall carpeting lamenting why he almost always got offered villain parts instead of the hero?

Did we ever discuss my family's late-'70s RCA television with the faux brass drawer handle? The kind of television that required four sober adults in order for it to be moved?

I always thought Lesley Gore's greatest hit was "You Don't Own Me" which was given a rousing rendition at the end of The First Wives Club.

Does Dennis Quaid who is 65 years old actually believe that his 26 year old fiancé would marry him if he was a retired social worker, plumber, policeman, teacher, etc.?
