I'd love to make an appearance tonight, but won't know until later if it's possible. If I can't come along, it's been too long and I hope you're all well!

Onya will not be attending, after all (massive work deadline, he says, but he's looking forward to future chats), but he says the legendary Jim Phelps will. smile

I might stop by later, if I manage? Don't know if I'll be home in time though.

Yeah, that was a good one Thor. "Cheers" to all. I'm now imbibing a Lamaciño red wine, made with the Mencía grape, this one from the León region, and 2.30 euros the bottle from the shop across the road.

Thoroughly enjoyed it, one of the best zoom calls we've had!

Nice to meet you Nick, and it was great to see everyone again. I particularly liked the conversation about languages (if anyone remembers), though I still hate Latinwink

Did "Totoro" join?

By the way, I have heard Thor is about to change his name to Thorthoro.

Yes, it was a good chat. Some great topics and nice to see new faces. I do apologise though for straying into the topic of music theory and thematic/ambient scoring technique. wink

Howard, you were coming at the end of our chat. Log in again.

When I logged in and it said the session had ended, I thought I missed out since it was getting close to 1am your time. Caramba, I'd had a long day at work and forgot to join in earlier. frown

Yeah, there was one more session after that (as always, it’s in bulks). But see you next time!

Sorry to those of you who thought the ressurection of this thread meant an announcement of another Zoom meeting. There won't be one untill after October 17, I'm afraid.

BUT....it's the weekend, and time for specialty drinks.

Currently trying a new beer from the rich catalogue of Nøgne Ø [Naked Island] -- the brewery from my home town, and one of the largest microbreweries in Norway. It's a Hop Soup 2 - DDH IPA (double dry hopped). I was kinda skeptical, as I'm not a big fan of fruity beers, but the peach and citrus flavour don't come at the cost of the bitterness. Interesting!

Moving on to the classic Chimay. I've had the white, red and blue many times, but last week I found a GREEN in my local wine monopoly. Was skeptical, but tried it and loved it. Beautiful, round Belgian blonde. There was nothing to be worried about, that's why I bought another one this weekend. A hefty 10%, but that adds necessary flavour.

FYI:

Next -- and last Zoom meeting for 2021 -- is December 11, at 21.00 (9PM).

It's a Saturday this time, to accomodate some of you US workers.

Hope you'll save some stamina for Saturday, then, Thomas.

I have no Christmas parties planned this year (as of yet, anyway), but I need to "sacrifice" my Friday for this chat, drinking-wise. It's something that I'm reluctant to do, as Fridays are the be-all, end-all day for me in that department, but I can manage once in a while (and by "sacrifice", I mean maybe 2-3 beers instead of 10). smile

Excellent! Looking forward to the meeting. Thanks again for scheduling it on Saturday.

In the meantime, this is back in season, so I am enjoying one as I write this:
