Thank you for tonight! It's probably the most laidback meeting we've ever had. Covered an enormous amount of topics, but surprisingly little about film music.

I think I maybe spoiled the ambience when I mentioned Morricone for a moment but I think I got away with it! Really enjoyed it, great to see you all again!

Agreed. Great meeting. Thanks for hosting Thor! It was great seeing everyone and I am looking forward to the next meeting.

I'm back, after a 3-month absence (due to various reasons). Well, sorta back, anyway. Won't be back in full messageboard mode until at least another month or so, but I aim to host another Cheers chat this coming Saturday -- from a remote island here in Denmark, of all places. Hope to see you there!

SATURDAY, AUGUST 27, at 21:00 (9PM) Norway/Denmark time. Link will follow later.

Get your beverages ready! smile

Tea total. As in given up the booze.

Not that the world revolves around me, but I might be away next weekend. Pity if I miss the next session after such a long time. If I can't be there in person, I will send my fridge stacked with beer.

Unfortunately, I can't make it. Things are crazy at work and it has crept into the weekend. If I can make enough progress I will try and join one of the later sessions. In the meantime, knock back a few for me.

Just stopped by, but apparently, it's already over. Sorry I missed you.
(Yeah, I'm a bit late, but it's only 12:40a.m. here, so it's not unreasonable for a Saturday. :-) )

Your name came up today. What a discussion we had over the evolution of FSM from the original b&w “mags” to color magazines to CDs to website to messageboard to Zoom. And how we have aged in the process and where we are now having received the education we have—by teaching each other!

Yes, it was an education!

Did you manage to catch 'that scene' in The Seven Year Itch Howard?

Sorry I missed the chat. I was away this long weekend at the holiday place for the last time this summer. Hopefully Thor can arrange another meet sometime soon!

Sorry you missed it, Thomas. It was a very nice meeting. Around 3-4 at any given time (when someone left, someone else came in, so we mostly kept that number throughout). There was surprisingly -- and refreshingly! -- little talk about film music, but some about film/TV. Mostly, though, about everyday things and personal stories and FSM and whatnot.

Also nice for us Europeans that the meeting ended at about midnight, although we missed Nicolai by ending it that "early".

Hope to host another pub chat in a month or so, when I'm back in Oslo and have established myself properly in the refurbished apartment (incl. new speakers).

I'll try to stop by in time next time. Last Saturday, I was busy and could only join the meeting when it was already over. smile

big grin No, but the flick's On Demand so I just may have to give it a "whirl."

Gosh, it's been almost half a year since this thread was last active. That's disconcerting. It was always intended for posting about weekend activities and booze, not only for Zoom meetings, but anyways -- I'm planning another Zoom Cheers on:

FRIDAY, MARCH 10, AT 9PM OSLO TIME.

Hope to see some of you there. Link will follow closer to the date.
