If that annoying girl in pink fluffy jacket says Yumiko one more time, im gonna to chuck a stormtrooper mask at her!! Lol. What a seriously crap episode. Yeah whole episides with just 1 or 2 actors in? Yeah, clearly either covid related so none of their assets get sick or an accountant somewhere said Hey we're paying this guy and this guy x amount, so need to get more out of them, hence whole episodes of filler!!!

For me the last 3 episodes have been really lame. I hope this season gets better. Corrected that for you Joanie lol.

Truly so far the worst season ever. 4 filler episodes, all poor. First episode ok, but you couldve missed last four episodes and not missed a single bit of story advancement. The latest one, daryl hunts for a motorcycle fuel pipe and Carole tries to catch a rat. Im sure someone would say coz of covid we're lucky to have any, but really? So far its been a waste of 5 hours.

So, the season finale.... Do not read on if you haven't seen it yet. Not that there are any spoilers, really. The whole thing is a Negan "fleshback" story, in multiple stages of his past, and is no doubt intended to flesh out the character so that the journey from villain to hero is further underlined. Now, the episode in and of itself was fine, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan gets to show off his impressive acting chops -- but I'm still struggling with the idea to humanize Negan to begin with. In general, I find morally ambigious characters interesting. Even 'experiments' where we're introduced to a protagonist with promblematic personality traits, who over the course of the film moves into something more sympathetic. That guy from the DISTRICT 9 movie comes to mind, for example. Or De Niro in TAXI DRIVER. There are plenty of examples. But if you present a character that is soooo archetypically bad, there needs to be some sort of redemption or release for the audience who has invested so much in the story. A good example is that evil kid king prick in GAME OF THRONES. We stuck with him for many episodes because we knew he would get his due. It was a nececssary release valve for us. However, that has not happened with Negan. We have not forgotten the traumatic killing of Glenn. He's being let off easy in the show, even if they introduce more elements to flesh out a humanity that may be buried deep down (as he cares for his cancer-sick wife). But hey -- it's not over yet. There might be a final confrontation in store for us - especially with the tense relationship between Megan and him towards the end there. The 11th - and last - season will premiere in August. Hopefully, it can be produced in a covid-free environment that gets the proper amount of people back in the cast, so that it's not only sluggish chamber ensemble episodes for the duration.
