Do You Want to Win? Another Leeds United documentary. That was some ugly 1980s hooliganism footage there. Seemed like footie had a LOT of that then, with the tragedies of Heysel and Hillsborough being especially horrific.
Southampton's penalty miss has been costly - Utd 0-2 up.
Apparently Southampton's Ben Brereton Diaz is winless in all 17 of his Premier League appearances and if he loses this game it will be a record - most games without a single win.

Another one to catch up on…
There was the Bradford City fire as well around that time, but on that occasion a careless cigarette butt dropped into combustible rubbish that had accumulated under an ancient wooden stand.
Annoying to lose at home to Burrrrrrnley today, anything that gives joy to Alistair Campbell hurts twice as much. But for their keeper, the brilliant young James Trafford (surely Pickford’s successor) it would have been very different. Love watching our boys, though, even without the ones we sold, who were pretty eye-catching. When we click there’ll be some scalps taken.
Particularly impressed with Manor Solomon, the Israeli player on loan from Spurs. The ball seemed to be glued to his feet at times.
Two unfortunate one-on-ones missed, a couple of great saves from Trafford and a penalty not given that I’m convinced VAR would have allowed and there goes our unbeaten record this season.
Burnley worked hard off the ball but a rash of yellow cards and a sending off for them too late to make a difference tells a story. I hate the international breaks.
Strangely enough, I met Alistair Campbell a few months ago. He was walking along the beach where our holiday home is, so I went over and had a chat with him. I think he said he was there recording a TV show or a podcast about trees in the area. Nice guy.
Like Chris, I fkn hate the international breaks too. Nice momentum broken up, players coming back knackered from travelling all over the world for fk all. I doubt we'd have lost at home to Forest if not for shit meaningless games.
Forest had an obvious game plan, crowd the middle of the pitch and try to get a breakaway chance. Which they executed very well, and Liverpool had no ideas. Back to the drawing board...

I’m sure he presents very nicely when it suits him

Yup, I've learnt not to view people on how nice they are. Piers Morgan, I hear, is the epitome of charm if you meet him.
Two games in a row they were 2-0 up and lost 3-2. Amazing. Dyche gone next week surely. But who would you get in? Who would want that job? Only someone who wants a nice income, and has no serious aspirations to win trophies. Steve Bruce? Sam Allardyce?

I have to ask (and I know I probably shouldn't) but what's the issue with Campbell? He worked with the best British PM of the past 50 years, did he not?

That’s too deep a well to draw water from on this forum…

They scored an early goal, but other than that Milan offered very little. They had a few half chances toward the end, but only because Liverpool became sloppy. Liverpool played some good stuff, should have scored more. Oh and even they are now doing this dicking about with the ball between centre backs and keeper, bloody annoying.
