Vienna. Dark alleys. Zither music. "Go in peace." LOL Oh, that's right. I rewatched The Third Man the other day and had already forgotten that Carry On Spying riffs on it. I need to start my Carry On Rewatch right after the holidays.

Now watching Doctor in Clover: This is the film where this classic comes from - Sir Lancelot “What are you in this hospital for Wendover?” Wendover (Arthur Haynes) “Shrapnel moved. In the war a grenade exploded nearby and the shrapnel got me right up the ...” Sir Lancelot: “Rectum?” Wendover: “Well it didn’t do them much good” And I'm afraid I woke up my entire neighborhood with my laughter during the sequence between Haynes and Fenella Fielding in the hospital hallway - Haynes pronouncing "Giselle" as "Gizzle" and Fielding's OTT recreation of the ballet.

Mark Yeah i saw some of Doctor in Clover yesterday where Joan Sims was a dragon of a sister, clashing with the consultant Lancelot Spratt. Quite funny. Leslie Phillips and Fenella Fielding were good too. Also funny in it was Arthur Haynes, who played a patient who in one scene shows off his ballet moves in a dressing gown to ballerina Fenella Fielding.

I agree but i think in truth kev she was kept in for her energy n silly giggle rather than her actual sexual attraction, altho they made a big thing of her wiggle in heels (doctor) and her boobs (camping).

I have seen her in a few films when she was younger and a lot slimmer. They were a few years before the carry on films. She also didn't have the cockney fog horn voice. She was a lot easier on the eye. I think you'd be quietly impressed, keV. Especially with your failing eyesight and advancing years.

I found your post about this movie last night right after I posted mine. Clearly that scene between those two is outstanding!
