No idea if it's true, but there are reports from Italy that Ten Hags has been sacked.

Thankfully Thomas it seems he's still not sacked.
Praise the Lord.

IMO Club football is just a mercenary game with the same five teams lining up in the table with only an occasionally different order to stun the punters.

International football, while still a vile and corrupt entity, at least one gets to see what each country has produced, which makes it more interesting to the neutral, even if the primadonna players phone in their performances.

Plus, you boys are never happy, regardless of your team's result.

Just my dissenting view.

Who else are the supporters of STAINES, DAGENHAM and GLOSSOP gonna cheer for?

Funnily enough, when I travelled with England it was fans from stoke, Preston, hartlepool, Portsmouth, aldershot, Stockport, West Brom, sunderland, newcastle, Millwall, etc. There were some Liverpool and quite a few West ham, couple Chelsea, but zero Tottenham, arsenal, man utd. Not any.

England lost to Greece surprisingly, though it hardly counts for much.

See if you can catch Finland's goal against Ireland. Irish centre backs passing the ball sideways to each other under no pressure from the Finland players, Collins decides to pass it back to Kelleher and hits it about 20 yards short. Appalling stuff.

I had to laugh at all the pundits exclaiming that England SHOULD be beating a team like Greece.
This is Greece who HAVE WON a major tournament this century.
And what I saw of last night's game, Greece matched them or bettered them IN EVERY WAY (they had the ball in the net 5 TIMES but were unlucky with some tight off-side calls).
It's laughable how it's expected of England to win a trophy, when they haven't SINCE 1966!!
They need to get a grip and accept them for what they are...PERENNIAL ALSO RANS.
And as for Bellingham...it's hard to cheer success while that EGO is on the pitch.

Carsley was always a strange fit, even as a temp

It probably didn't matter as it was right at the death and Ireland were losing to Greece anyway, but Kelleher's error was something to behold...

It WAS awful. Unlike the courtroom drama psychological thriller rom-com post-giallo animated crime action fantasy musical slasher gangster noir film Joker: Folie à Deux, which was brilliant.

Doesn’t seem as if anyone else has either, Bill. Not that it ever stopped anyone having an opinion on it big grin

Tuchel agrees to become next England manager... doesn't say much for our own crop of managers.

Lol. A good German is better than a talentless Carsley.

Well if we go off form (foreign managers in charge of England - Erikssen and Capello) we shouldn't expect much.

A big dimension here is the British media who will start digging and digging and digging into Tuchel's life (Erikssen's affairs, Capello's tax affairs) until they've found something and then they'll run with it. Anything minor will be whipped
up until everyone's talking about, it, non stop. It will interfere, it always does. Southgate kept his nose clean which is why he escaped. Good man management was his strength.

Tuchel has the skills to manage top clubs and he'll have the players. Capello arguably took charge for a period when our defence was terrible so we'll never quite know how he'd have managed a top class team. But how much control will Tuchel have? I remember Capello's anger when the FA stripped John Terry of the captaincy.

And can he manage egos like Bellingham? Not convinced.

I'm happy, cos it keeps him away from ManUre (I'd read he might replace 10gags which was a worry).
He's a good manager with a good pedigree, but yeah, what happens when he falls out with knob heads like Bellingham or says something The Scum Sun doesn't like.
