I had never heard of the singer, David Phelps, but I keep hearing him singing O Holy Night on the radio Christmas channels. I always like that Christmas song. What he does with this song is spectacular!

The orchestrations behind this song are marvelous. It really features brass, and it's glorious as is his voice. Stick with it to the end.

I knew Karen was a wonderful singer, but never knew Georgia Engel was too.
Rest in peace to both:

Well I can't make any claims like that, it was just petty (& not so petty) criminals went to mine.

I didn't buy any Cockney Rebel albums in the seventies, but I really enjoy them now.

"Expecting to Fly"
Neil Young wrote and recorded this this while on his way out.of BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD.. Arranged by Jack Nitzche
Epic.

The doc ECHO IN.THE CANYON made brilliant use of it by matching it with footage from MODEL SHOP.

"Rock the Boat"- The Hues Corporation

I now associate this song with Bob DiMucci, based on the post in which he wondered why the song was included on a Soul Hits of the '70s compilation. Disco is not something one might associate with Bob.

"Alberta"- Pernell Roberts

The Bonanza rebel was also an accomplished singer. Nice fanmade video.

"T.S.O.P. (The Sound of Philadelphia)"- MFSB Featuring The Three Degrees

Long version. smile

Not the first time I've had this tune rolling around in my memory. Few songs can evoke the 1970s more than this one.

I think the TSOP extension is due to Soul Train ("people all over the world"). It was a helluva tune, though.

Actually, the tune might have been for Soul Train. CRS.

It is the theme from Soul Train, but being "genious" FSMers, I figured we all knew that.
