Joan looks like Meryl Streep in McGann Land.
Oblicno/Xebec/Wanderer looks like Nick Frost in Hot Fuzz or Paul.
Bill Carson looks like a cross between Warren Oates and Ray Winstone.
Thomas looks like Pep Guardiola (but that's probably cos he's said so before in the footy thread).
Lemme think of some more.

The general consensus among my friends is I look like Karl Pilkington (and act like him, apparently). But I've a different nose and no Manc accent.

I've met so many of the FSM regulars over the years, or seen their mugs in Facebook profiles etc., that it's hard to think of anyone left that remain 'mysterious', faceless beings. I'll have to think about this one.

At least Kev can construct sentences without a superfluous "the" in the middle of it.wink

Kev, I like Meryl Streep. Sounds good. ( I wish I looked like her.)

I take a guess at the looks of my British Buddies.

I'm thinking of the BBC Sherlock. Since I often see jabbering between Bill and Tall Guy, I think Tall Guy would look like the handsome Benedict Cumberbatch if he was about 6-8 inches taller. I think Bill would look like his sidekick, Watson, played by the distinguished looking Martin Freeman.

I remember TG saying that he met Kev and that Kev was a handsome bloke, so I think Kev must look like the British actor Ben Barnes.

I'll ponder more answers.

Joan, you're one of the few FSM regulars whose face I've never seen. Wouldn't really know which reference I'd use either. I presume your last name is of Asian origin (Vietnamese?), but perhaps I'm completely off.

Some Vietnamese are named Hue.

There was the Battle of Hue in 1968.

A lethal Carole? I'll take it. smile And Martin Freeman is very distinguished looking.

No Asian in my background and not in my husband's. Hue is my husband's last name which I took many years ago. He said its origin was French and many decades ago was Le Hue. (La Huey) Guess his ancestors dropped the Le. My maiden name was very Irish, and my ancestors are mainly from Ireland with some from Britain. Some people call my ancestors Black Irish because of their brown eyes and black hair. No red heads among them. My dad had black hair and brown eyes.

During the Viet Nam war I believe that we pronounced HUE like the word WAY.

Benedict Q Cumberbatch (but taller - and sans supercilious expression). I’ll take that. But he’s likely to sue.

I never said Kev was handsome - I said he was like a young Steven Gerrard, and you inferred the rest.

Okay, my bad inference, but I looked up Gerrard, and he is a handsome "bloke."
