Before they introduced this Nations League thing, I didn't used to give a sh!t about International Games and generally cursed them for getting players from my PROPER team either injured, reviled (by Nationalist morons) or both.
After this Nations League thing (which, if I'm honest, I haven't got a clue how it works or what it leads to), my interest and anger towards them has decreased and increased respectively.
They are all a complete waste of time!
Scrap the lot, I would say.

Did england play then?
Shows how much - and its sad - how my keenness for england football has gone from proud passion (66, 70, 90 and 96) to supreme indifference.

I know for sure media hype, graham taylor, wally wiv brolly, capellio, the beckham team era, all the shit with john terry, wayne rooney n a million other things plus the consistent pattern of winning easy qualifying groups, talking billy big bananas and then get shown up badly in the actual tournaments, all that has worn me down.

Id rather watch reruns of moore, charlton, hurst, peters, nobby, banksy, bally, etc. Back when we had a team with big hearts who were committed.

Well we did OK in 2018, winning a penalty shootout AT LAST and beating Sweden AT LAST. And getting to a semi-final. Admittedly without facing a big gun, but then we got to the semi-final in 1990 that way, too.

Erm...not quite. we drew with Holland in the group stage, beat a decent Belgium side containing Enzo scifo and clijsters n van der elst and the famous Cameroon team who were 1 of the best sides in the tournament!! (They finished top in argentina group).

2018 forgotten that already. And we were left wanting werent we? Semi against germany in 90 we played fkn superb.

You forgot to mention the draw with Ireland in the group as well. Those were heady days!

I know that. It's knockout games where England have traditionally had disasters. We rarely do well. We've usually acquitted ourselves well in group stages. No problem there (2014 aside, when we didn't get out of the group).

France buzzsawed through Argentina, Uruguay, and Belgium to get to the final, where they demolished a tremendous Croatia side.

I wonder how far England would have gone had they been in France’s bracket.

Hint: Not far at all.

That team we took to extra time, you mean?

Maybe we wouldn't have gotten through France's bracket, but we'd have given our opponents a damn good game.

We'll find out next year if 2018 was just a flash in the pan when we play in the Euros. England should get out of the group, but we are guaranteed to face a big gun in the next round (France, Holland or Portugal). That will be our biggest challenge.

No, it was Croatia who took England to extra time, as England scored first. Plus, Croatia had just seen off a tough Russian host in a thrilling Quarterfinal.

I feel like I’m debating a poorly-prepared Gary Lineker. wink

Just giving you some stick, litefoot. smile

I won't be about maybe at all from November 30 for a couple weeks maybe. Got a non-brain-related operation, but it'll leave me not able to do too much for a couple weeks. Just as i was doing a ton of paintings and drawings. Gutted. I'll be watching ever match on DAZN and hopefully building my Mafia outfit on a PS4 computer game.

Oh, god i hope i'm entirely changed! It'll be fine, just recovery time is like 6 weeks, the first two being a bit of a pain apparently. I really like cooking too and i won't be able to that for like a month. I'll be at the mercy of my friends' keto diet!
