Great show; I mentioned it in the first post among those I've already seen and really liked. Looking forward to season 2, but that's probably not untill next year?
OK, after having seen 10 episodes of 30 ROCK, I'm jumping ship. It simply doesn't grab me. I've never liked Tracy Morgan and Jane Krakowski, and while I do generally like Tina Fey and Alex Baldwin moderately well, I'm not too keen on Fey in "straight" mode and Baldwin in "quirky mode". I find the show more aggravating than funny.
Moving on, then, to the second entry on the list -- AMERICAN DAD.
Just spent the last couple of months going through all AMERICAN DAD episodes from start to latest. I like it, but it's nowhere near FAMILY GUY, as far as I'm concerned. I'll probably continue watching it for as long as it's produced, though.
Now which show to explore next? Maybe I should just start going alphabetically through the list....the next would be ANOTHER PERIOD.
Alright, tried the pilot of ANOTHER PERIOD. Not my cup of tea at all. Sometimes, you have to give a show 2-3 episodes to truly "catch it", but usually you can tell after one episode if it's something worth pursuing.
Skip "Kevin Can Wait". It's "King of Queens" 2.0 without the chemistry.
Seen a couple of scenes (it's being aired on one of the Norwegian TV channels), and I think you're right. Kevin James doesn't look quite 'comfortable', a far cry from the bumbling, likeable, physical person that was Doug Heffernan.

ARCHER didn't do much for me either. Not so strange, since it's the ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT gang, and never really got into that show (although I did manage to see through the whole run!).

Exactly!
He needs that ex-Scientology chick back to keep telling him what an idiot he is.
"Archer" is crap. I'm surprised it does much of anything for anybody. It's a really really poor man's wannbe knockoff "The Venture Bros.", even down to the unabashed opening credits style.
OK, so BETTER THINGS is really good. Love the Louie CK gang behind this. And how you can you not love a show that includes music from John Williams' grandkids in the first episode?
This is an easy 10-episode 'binge'. Seems like a second season has been planned as well.
I swallowed BETTER THINGS in one go. Great show. The next one, however -- BLACK-ISH -- was not something I cared for very much. Guess you have to be American to get it properly. Moving on BOB'S BURGERS.
A few weeks later, and I've almost completed BOB'S BURGERS. Only have the 7th season left. I've grown to like it moderately well, although the constant screaming is a bit off-putting. But I like the atmosphere of the "set", so to speak.
In any case, I guess I should move on to the next show on the list -- BROAD CITY.
OK, I'm halfway through BROAD CITY, and I don't connect with it very well. Something about the 'hipster' New York mentality, and the emphasis on bodily functions and fluids. I'm rather old-fashioned that way; I prefer ladies to have a bit of mystery. Especially since I'm watching these things while eating my dinner; so I don't like to be put off. But they're good at drawing up situations. So I'm gonna stick with it at least untill I've finished the three existing seasons. And then I'll reevalute then.
I'm more skeptical of the next on the list, CALIFORNICATION. I've seen snippets of it on Norwegian TV, but remember not liking it very much (despite being an old Duchovny fan from the X-FILES days). I'm gonna give it a shot, though.
