who knew this bastard cricket thread would be the new "go to place to hang out" ??!
i love this - brofax writes the funniest post in the whole bloody thread....and u lot just carry on talking about poxy england's batting and bowling ! its the equivalent of star wars fanboys ignoring a mild jibe about their favourite children's space adventure.
in the words of Jack: " You cant handle the truth!"
All due respect to Brofax, I thought that “explanation” would surface even earlier than it did. You can get it on tea towels . And the funniest thing on this thread is you not being able to keep away from it (which I’m glad about, by the way).
I watched it this morning until our third c&b in a row, and didn’t know our final tally. It’d be very satisfying to skittle them out cheaply and then have a successful run chase in the final session.
so its old so what. still fkn funny. and what the latest scores since the last latest scores? surely we can have some bastard bowling figures? any maidens?
kev - nobody mentioned S*** W*** - you are a grown man... imagining it.
Chris Woakes says the pressure's on Australia. No Chris, you're 200 runs behind and the pressure's on you. And you know it. And everybody else knows it.
Australia to declare with a lead of 400 tomorrow and England to be three down at the close.

Yet, to everyone’s surprise...
It would be the tenth highest test run chase of all time. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves

OK, I overestimated by 46 runs And England are three down at the moment.
England still look dead in the water.
Lyon's proclaimation of ending careers is looking increasingly accurate. A half century here and there will not save some of these batsmen at the end of the tour.
Cook needs to be dropped, fast.
On the plus side, great work from Woakes and Anderson. First fivefer down under for the Burnley Express!
Chandimal's 164 wasn't enough to stop Sri Lanka conceding a big lead against India. The latter still have wickets to spare in the second innings and Sri Lanka will need to make up a 400 run deficit at least.
Glenn McGrath is still on for his whitewash prediction.
5-0 used to be a joke. Teams just didn't lose 5-0 in Tests. McGrath was probably as surprised as the rest of us when it happened in 06/07. And then it happened again in 13/14.
Something is seriously wrong with these England tours of Australia and the ECB needs to take a hard look at why they're not competing.
