MICHAEL LONSDALE on SEASON FIVE of THE FIVEHOUSE FIVE "...It almost did not happen. I remember becoming more "in-demand" after I performed in RONIN, hence I wanted to explore other territories within the craft of acting. This FIVEHOUSE opus grew tiring....However, they begged and groveled for me to do it, so, begrudgingly, I obliged to do so after a monetary increase was offered to me..."

Excerpt from the FROST/LONSDALE interview. I doubt Ron Howard will be rushing to make a movie out of this. In 1983, respected British T.V. personality David Frost conducted a briefly estranged interview with Alan Fivehouse's Michael Lonsdale. [David Frost] Earlier, you talked about the process for taking a character off of the page, filtering him through your persona non grata, if you will, then providing a live projection of the essence of that written page into a living, breathing person. In a similarly converse fashion, what process should a viewer or audience member employ when dissecting and examining this performance? [Michael Lonsdale] David, one must use the analogy of a finely crafted cheese. First it begins through fermentation as an unrefined collection of whey protein and milk, maturing through time and careful nurturing, into a wonderous imalgamation of flavor, aroma, and texture. [David Frost] Please elaborate? Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...! MaxB

Lest we forget the James Lipton followup interview: "What is your favorite cheese"? Anzaldiman and I had the discussion earlier in the week, regarding what James Lipton offered in his typical banter with Lonsdale on his acting career. Lipton's a hoot. MaxB

"....We have several surprises in the pipeline for ALAN FIVEHOUSE fans for the holidays. First, fans should all know by now that the "brown box" is coming. However, the ALAN FIVEHOUSE "origins" movie is also set to arrive on Christmas day. I think fans have reason get excited this holiday season..." RITA LOFTYBECK, September 26, 2008

ALAN FIVEHOUSE dialogue classic from WHO WEEPS FOR ALAN FIVEHOUSE "...Fast automobiles. I never understood the visceral fascinations that many have with these purporters of horizontal speed and infrequent self-destruction. If one wanted to commit to such carnage, a fine Bordeaux coupled with an aged rack of lamb should be sufficient to induce the desired effect...." Michale Lonsdale as ALAN FIVEHOUSE

NICHOLAS ROWE on the stuntwork for SON OF ALAN FIVEHOUSE "...They had me suspended from this twelve foot crane that lowered me down very quickly, as I was supposed to be falling out of this window, then landing on top of this old woman walking a dog. (Laughs) As if falling out of windows in mid air is odd enough, but damn Fred's sense of humor to have me land on an old woman. I think it was a way for him to get back at his mother in some respect...."

More people have read this thread than books, judging on the view counts for both threads.... And I don't blame them, this thread is probably much more interesting than what many of them are reading anyway. I can't get through half of the threads out there. But there's always something "unexpected" in the world of Fivehouse. MaxB
